Here are the official specs

* 2.4 GHz P4 processor or equivalent (this a value for single core processor. If you have a laptop or a dual or a quad core the value is different. If you have a Centrino processor on your laptop the equivalent value is about the double, if you have a dual core the equivalent is x2, quad core is x4…)
* 1.5 GB RAM
* 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.0
* Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (check your Windows upgrade if you don’t have service pack 1. If you have service pack 2 is ok!)
* At least 5.3 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games

For computers using built-in graphics chipsets under Windows, the game requires at least:

* Intel Integrated Chipset, GMA 3-Series or above
* 2.6 GHz Pentium D CPU, or 1.8 GHz Core 2 Duo, or equivalent
* 0.5 GB additional RAM

So your 0.2ghz less then what they want, and just have enough ram. It might work on low end settings but I bet it won't run very well.

GPUish it ok though?

What about OCing the POS?
Hello reaver894,

The Sims games are always optimized to run on Grandma's oldest pc. The Sims: Medieval might run on lowest details and resolution on your specified laptop pc. You can even downgrad the shadel model to 1.1. But it will not run smooth.

I would not recommend to buy the game for your girl friends / wife. There is no official demo version for you to try it out before buying i am afraid.

Have a nice day

Can You Run It? is a very useful website, run it from your 'ball and chain's' Laptop and it will tell you if it's up to spec.

Overclock a laptop? You've truly gone mad!
My wife plays it on a 6 years old Dell computer, and it runs just fine. Also, the game seems to be much more addicting than the regular Sims games.

Yeah, probably due to the "romance" of being back in ye olde days. They tend to gloss over/forget the witch burning, filth, poverty, stupidity and general shittiness of these times. :P

Heh. Interesting concept for a simulation game.

Found it, a Compaq LTE 5000. with a whopping 810MB HDD
does anyone know, if it is safe to gift the mac copy you get on top with your PC copy on Gamersgate?

So, is there a new key involved with the other version?

I talked her through how to use canirunit.com. (i know its that bad)

The CPU passes?

but it fails on the graphics, it has enough ram and the pixel shader is ok.

ATI Radeon Xpress Series apparently doesnt hit the minimum.

I know not to put much stock in that site but is it going to be an issue really?

Is it worth "Aquiring" a copy through other means to try it?
