Still not too late to preorder the game! You can do so here:
http://www.becomemagi.com/preorder

For those who backed Serpent's Tongue, there's a new update here:
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/500894669/serpents-tongue-a-new-magick-experience/posts/243409?ref=activity

What it's about, in summary:
- Demo version to be released via Print-n-Play. You download the cards online, and then print them out yourself. Purpose of this is to test for balance issues.
- Included are printing instructions, setup guide, demo rules, solo gameplay tutorial, 50 Incantation cards, and a printable and bindable codex
- Demo arrives earliest by Sunday, or latest by Monday

Anyway from what I understand, there's likely going to be a big emphasis on online competition via webcam. If anyone's getting this too, hook me up. None of my friends want to play this (everyone's too busy breaking out of their otaku lifestyles), so it'd be cool if any GOGers want to hook up to maybe play co-op.

Lowy, I'll consider that. Being in the PRC it's hard for me to find people that are physically located close enough for it to work.

I'm not really sure how well this is going to work out as I've found that Skype often times leads to words being garbled.

I just figured out where I can probably get the cards printed, because I doubt my school would be interested in having me printing that many pages for personal use.

That's great. Since you're in China, we'll probably get a good latency over Skype.
Very nice looking card artworks, I like what they say about the rules, too.
The gameplay is the best bit about it. I thought it was going to be quite gimmicky at first - you have to shout the incantations to 'cast' the spell - but it looks like you really have to put in effort to learn and memorize the incantations in order to 'cast' the spell. In a game with a fast countdown timer, this could have adverse implications for players who panic under stress.

It might be a bit embarrassing to have to shout "I choose you, Pikachu!" all the time though.
This looks like a very interesting game. I may have to keep an eye on whats going on.
Backers may be interested in UnBound Games' latest update. They're trying to decide on a prototype for the spell codex. Check out their photos here:

Thanks to langurmonkey for asking me about it, otherwise I wouldn't know they're still taking preorders.
