Anyone interested, or at least interested now that I've posted a link to a trailer?
Granted, it's a WW2 game (if that gets you all yawning), but wait! It's different, there are no Normandy landings or killing Japanese people, but rather, you're part of the French resistance, trying to sneakily destroy the Nazi's stranglehold on the country. I don't really know why an Irish-sounding guy named Sean is doing in France (there is a backstory but it's rather cliched), but still, it seems like a different kind of WW2 game that we've come to know. The cool thing about it is that the game itself will be monochromatic, and the city of not-so-gay Paree will slowly become more and more colorful, when more people join the resistance and fight back. The game will be like an open world Splinter Cell, and I can't wait. It's out this December... I hope.

Sounds like Velvet Revolver. Hopefully this game turns out better though.

Sounds a bit like "Mosby's Confederacy", a game I always wanted to try. Nobody ever tries to make Guerilla warfare games, sadly.

Did you not get my horrible pun? The game he was talking about is actually called Velvet Assassin, instead he typed in the name of a somewhat overhyped rock group.

Yeah, I got it. I generally don't acknowledge puns, similar to how people don't feed stray animals, etc.

The game looks like an interesting blend of genres. It appears to contain both stealth shooter elements, traditional shooter elements, some acrobatics and vehicle action. It looks fun.

I'm curious enough to keep an eye on it. If it pans out I'll grab it.

Saw a trailer of it some time ago at RPS. First glance reminded me of Velvet Assassin, but subsequent trailers looked really good. Just hope the real gameplay (not metagame) is not too linear.

Dude, I loved Just Cause! I bought it on Gamersgate a few days ago and I'm enjoying every moment of it. Sure, the visuals aren't 360-grade (they ported the original Xbox's version to the PC instead), but I really enjoyed playing it, and I can't wait for the sequel.

Really? The game must have undergone some major patching since the demo then as you couldn't even change the controls in that. That's something you can even expect of console games but with PC games it's absolutely essential. Just Cause fell at that first vital hurdle.
