Cryxo: So how does that work? Is it done manually or is there some automatic process that gets the info straight away?
avatar
bansama: Semi-automated. Due to the current strain on the Steam store servers when the countdown hits zero, I currently delay processing for a couple of minutes. But all the information is updated within 15 to 20 minutes of the new sales going up. Although with people thinking that the sale is going to end any day now, it may take slightly longer for the Steam's servers to become stable.

It's damn useful I say! Thanks for the link.

Thanks =)
The latest updates have also just gone through. But they'll be updated again later as Valve have not ended yesterday's sales yet.

Bio2hazard: ...

Hey bio2hazard,
If you get the chance, and are still able, could you gift me Dark Messiah ($4.99) and Rome: Total War ($2.49/$2.99) on steam?
I can paypal you the cash, or buy you something of equivalent value on here or steam. (though i doubt you need any more games!)
I'll probably be at work from pretty soon, and might not finish until after the sale does. If you could help me out it'd be much appreciated... if not, oh well.. at least i've made it through this sale season without spending too much.... ;-)
Hey any chance I could talk someone into picking up 2 of the 50 $ PSN cards and email me the code and then I pay pal you the money?
I just sold my last house and no longer maintain a mailing address for my credit card in the states....

PSN cards? Are they region specific? If not I can pick up some cheap Hong Kong PSN cards or whatever.

I do not belive so, the issue is cant have them mailed to Iraq? Which is kinda retarded... on the PS Store I buy things with USD... not sure if different regions would use other countries currency....Anyway, my paypal works, I figure if I put 100USD into the play station account then I wont have to worry about dlc for at least a couple of weeks lol...
Whats your email? I can send you the money and grab the codes from you for the cards...
Edit http://www.amazon.com/PLAYSTATION-Network-Card/dp/B001GROEEO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1263096179&sr=8-1I belive is the card I would need....
Cant belive they would put a mailing restriction on these. I mean, I can undertsnad COD Modern Warfare (then the px has it for 75USD), and some chemicals (which I order FSS), but a card with a code on the back.. thats just crazy.

Well I've just read that they are specific, so unless you're willing to create a dummy account for the HK PSN you'll need some US guy to get you them.
Looks like I may need to find someone using USD to get a gift of ME2 from Steam. But not until after I've complained YET AGAIN to Support about how they keep displaying products in my region and then refusing to sell them here.

So they just rejected your payment during that time they forgot that Japan shouldn't be allowed to have fun?

Yup. Seems Steam's new method of handling region restrictions is to advertise the games as being available and just to tell you to sod off when it comes to taking your money. And naturally, the EA store here isn't selling it.

I could help you with that problem. Would you like it preordered?

Thanks for the offer, but in the end I decided to pay a little more and get an import of the collector's edition. I may not get a pre-order bonus with it, but at least I'll get a real hardcover art book and not the PDF from the digital versions. I also avoid the possible IP blocking that Valve will likely impose on us.
I've send qestions to Steam, Monolith and polish publisher of FEAR 2 question about availability to buy DLC in Poland. But i suspect that ill be needing someones help to buy it. If i get sure that ill be able to download gifted DLC and use it.
about the 1$ = 1€ thing, you do know they include VAT in that right?
I know it might be a bit overpriced on some games.

I know, i payed for game 67 zł what is about 15-16 € or about 22 $, and now i will have to pay 10 € or 10 $ for DLC. And this really suck.
