I was just wondering if something just went completely over my head regarding the red one-eyed periscope during the summer sale (since it actually had a blinking eye), or of it's still a mystery? Does it represent anything?

Or, was it really just for kicks and to throw us for a loop?

oh, you missed the explanation in (can't find the post).
You must click the periscope in time with the Polish National Anthem, than buy Silent Hunter 2.
After that you were gifted with an exquisite bundle of GOG games.
Haven't tried it myself cause i don't know the Polish National Anthem. But the sister of the best
friend from the mother of the guy who works at the Starbucks were he overheard some senior
members of the company that nearly got the contract for programing the site confirmed this.

I did everything as you said, but with a left handed mouse... BLAST! I knew I should have plugged in the other mouse!!!!!!
