Kakihara: Oh, I thought paypal you money or something. Because I keep getting the same 5 crap games.

IAmSinistar: Ah, don't worry about. Have it as a gift. Check your PMs and enjoy!
You are like, crazy kind. Thank you very, very much man. Brightens my day.

Well, it wasn't about you vs the automaton to begin with. Rather, the GOG people were up against a specific math and programming task of fixed difficulty, and they succeeded.

Did they? I didn't get any games and they didn't get any money.

So, are the results bad or good most of the time? I am thinking about scrambling some cash and trying my luck with all 5 pots.

And I set myself against it. That's man vs. machine in my book.

Clearly the machine won, since it convinced me to buy Jack Keane 2.

That's marketing, a different beast altogether, and it doesn't have to work on every individual person to be a success - you'd have to have access to sales data over time to tell. You might as well say that the absence of a PWYW pricing option is GOG's loss since they missed a chance to make you pay 1 cent.

Now Sinistar wanted to trick the system into letting him buy two specific games. However, GOG designed the system in a way to not allow him to buy those games for their own reasons. We will never know whether those reasons were solid or not, but they led to the system that works as they intended to. So the case of Sinistar not being able to buy those games isn't Sinistar losing to the system or Sinistar losing to the GOG people, it's GOG people succeeding at math and programming.

edit: it's really no different from him waking up on a regular Friday and seeing Memoria isn't on promo at all; "failing" to persuade the website to sell a fullprice game at a discount isn't a actual failure.

If you want to know what games you're getting BEFORE you buy, check this out:

(Quoting someone else's post)

"On firefox:
- pick games
- click checkout now
- Ctrl-U (View Page Source)
- Ctrl-G (search)
- type "data-t"
- scroll right to see first game title
- repeat Ctrl-G + scroll right to see other 4 game titles"

I keep getting the same games over and over, and so much for the pot of gold not having games from the list. I've seen Gianna sisters a couple of times.

Ah, that's not cool :( The Giana Sisters on the LIST is the original game, the one that comes up from the Pot of Gold is the second game, Owverlord.

I keep hoping for Memoria, Outlast, and/or Deponia 3, but have yet to come across any of them. :/

As a side note, Cognition is a FANTASTIC and intense adventure game! Kudos to you if you got it!

It's the other Giana Sisters, Rise of the Owlverlord.
Bought 15 games, now missing 4 from the pot of gold list which has 23 games.
So if I pick one game I do not have and 4 pots of gold then is the following math right?

1 chance in 23*22*21*20 to get my 4 missing games, so 1 chance in 212520.

So even if I re-reroll all week, I'm unlikely to get a roll with the 4 pot of gold games I don't have.
I can't see to shake those Zombie/Alien Shooter games or Ittle Dew using the reveal pot of gold trick. It makes it seem like they sold out of Memoria's avaiability.

My first pot of gold purchase was legendary: Aarklash Legacy, Aqua Kitty, Deadly Premonition, + Ittle Dew

The second pot of gold 5 pack purchase yielded: Zombie Shooter 1, Zombie Shooter 2, Alien Shooter 2, Puddle, and Painkiller: Black
I can't get Deponia 3, Cognition, or Memoria no matter what I do.

And those are the only games that actually interest me. All the other games I already have from bundles, and I don't feel like paying for those again as I didn't care for them much in bundles either.

Giana Sisters is OK otherwise, but having backed it on Kickstarter, I don't want to buy again a game that I already have both on Steam and DRM-free.

Has anyone been getting those adventure games in the last few hours? Or was it only for those few people who tried their luck first?
how are you guys re-rolling? ive tried going back in and adding the items to my cart about 30 times now, cleared out my cookies, cleared my browsing history and reset my comp( i know that doesnt have any actual effect but though what the hell, also tried from 2 different IP addresses and no matter what i get the same 5 games
zombie 1
zombie 2
alien
painkiller
no mouth
any suggestions
I can't get those, either. I really want Cognition and Memoria. :(
