auroraparadox: Has anyone gotten Geneforge 1-5 or Aarklash: Legacy from a pot of gold recently?
I purchased the required five games but there was only three games that I actually wanted from the list of 25 games that GOG thinks is so great. Metacritic doesn't seem to agree with GOG's assessment of most of the games being offered. I picked three games and decided to take my chances on the "Pot of Gold" for the other two. I got Geneforge 1-5 and the Penumbra Collection. I later found out about the method to see what games you will get before you buy them. I don't know if GOG froze it so that you can get only a very small selection of games out of the "Pot of Gold" because of this, or they just intended it to be that way all along. I do know there is a very small selection of mostly poor games available now. In fact, most of the time it's the same five games over and over if you pick five from the "Pot of Gold". I'm glad I found out how to see what you are getting before you buy because I would have been very unhappy with the games if I had purchased five from the "Pot of Gold". I like GOG but unless they did it in reaction to the "cheat" people are using it seems very unsporting of them.
liamphoenix: I wish had've known that you could futz with it to see inside the pot. I would not have picked up the Alan Wake series and instead looked for one of these:
Tales from Space Mutant Blobs Attack
Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender
Ittle Dew
I have a passing interest in Allan Wake, but it'll probably sit on my computer unplayed for a long time, one of the more casual games that I could get in a little of here and there would've received much more use.
Oh well, I picked up sixteen games in this sale, fourteen of them ones that were on my wishlist.
That's a shame you didn't get those games. Those were three of the five games that came up over and over again when I tried repeatedly to get something different. Unfortunately, I didn't want any of those games.
