Hi guys I'm just here to tell you guys about PARPG, short for Post Apocalyptic Role Playing Game. This game is being made by a group of people working in their for free, in their spare time called PARPG Project team.

For those interested or want to help in helping here is the info:

Right now we help in the programming department.

Update: Still looking for programmer dedicated, has lot of time and knows his way around the FIFe engine.

Looks great. I particularly like the open source development philosophy.

Shame I'm not a very good programmer, otherwise I might get involved. Perhaps you need more writers, or might there be a role for a sociology graduate if you want to create a realistic social/political system? :)

Anyway, good luck!
Will this be a PC game? Akin to stuff like Fallout and Omega13?
@Dominic998: I pretty that would be helpful. Just introduce yourself on the forum. Also I am part of writing team and I guess we don't mind your helping. Just read the wiki! (or is it even linked in the post)
@GameRager: Yes.
WTF is wrong with the link!

GameRager: The link is messed up....copy this one in it's place: http://www.gamedev.net/topic/604158-parpg-looking-for-programmers/

To do so click reply to my post and then cut the whole section with the link url and such to your post and replace the one there already.
Got it.
Fallout 1 & 2 are the bomb-diggity imho, I loved the atmosphere so much after playing those games that I went on to watch as many post-apocalyptic movies as I could find. And seeing that PARPG will feature turn-based combat only makes me even happier.

I have no programming skills, but I would love to see what comes of this game.
I guess it is time for to necro this thread for those interested.
Wow....that looks nice! And for once there is snow!
I know Python but not as fluent as one would need to make a game like this. I'm bookmarking this though.
Looks very impressive can’t wait to see the final game.
Just a little update onthe story. Right now we have about twelve options in origins (but that number is likely to change) with three or four faction origins. And right now I am working ona faction idea. However all of this is subject to change so yeah.

I wish you guys could implement a home base mechanic where maybe you had a home base to go to between major quests or even one you could buy/rent later on to hang out in similar top the Brotherhood base in Tactics....where you coudl stock your extra gear, maybe shop from a merchant, just chill...etc.
