nijuu: Is there a problem with updating Path of Exiles?. My copy has been stuck at Checking for Resources for quite while now

Fenixp: It takes ages. Just let it run.
Mine got stuck for ages and ages. Got out of it. Uninstalled. Download and installed latest one off my isp archive (June 2013). Installed ok. Downloaded 2gb patch. *now* it loads and loads...login, loads, black screen. Ages. Ctrl Alt Del does squat except allow me to logoff shutdown pc etc LOL.....and it screws up my firewall. wtf have they changed.

Didn't know there was a thread for this game here, I was in the closed the beta, I really liked the game, like a lot, I'll see if I dig up my account so we can play if someone is up for that.
Probably going to download this in the next day or two as I've been reading some good things about it.

Was going to create a new thread but seeing this one was the most recent, I wanted to ask if anyone has any good bookmarks/links to go to for creating builds or other newsworthy info about this game? I know I can google and go thru the hits that come up one by one but if someone already has a website they like a lot, I'd rather go with that. Thanks.
Although everybody probably already knows, it's also on Steam now.

No. But the fact they are dealing with Steam (unfortunately) usually says a lot.

That they dare to want more people to play their game, which needs to run always-online regardless, and its success is directly related to the amount of people playing it at any point in time? ... It soulds like they're on the better side of the deal, especially since they don't have to pay Steam anything whatsoever - all microtransactions are handled by them, so they shouldn't pay Valve anything.

But sure, you can pick to see the worst in a decision to optionally include Steam client for people who want to use it and its features.

Well, I just started playing a little bit yesterday. A hardcore character, of course. Anybody else play HC on EU, maybe we can hook up in-game.
Hey, is any of you guys still active?
I haven't played in a while, but I'll probably start playing again next week or so since I've got block leave from now till Christmas.

Another user told me PoE has in-game guilds now. It's time for a GOG guild!

I haven't played for ages, but I won't be able to play until mid-January; just no time in the schedule :(

Indeed. Do we have a GOG guild? I haven't played for quire some time, but might pick it up again soon.

Alternatively, does anyone know of a friendly guild for a casual PvE player who likes to help others out?
