TVs_Frank: Wait... so do you suddenly get the first 3 in your list, or what if you already own it?

grviper: They just show up in the main menu of the remake. BTW, Bard's Tale 3 is the Apple II version. Just take in those graphics
I figured that might be the case, since BT3 never got a GS version. Apple II is fugly incarnate.

trebor8273: SimonG i agree never understand people who use GOG but moan about graphics!

Bloodygoodgames: LOL, I do, because I'm one of them. There has to be a certain 'acceptable' standard of graphics for me or I'm just never going to play the game -- not if it's fuzzy, pixely and hard to figure out what's going on. That's why I have avoided the older Might and Magic games for so long. Other than 8 and 9, the graphics suck! And I've never understood people who complain about people complaining about graphics on GOG :) There are several hundred games on GOG that have awesome graphics, without having to buy the ones that are sub-standard (and some were sub-standard even for the time they were released in). That's why we 'decent graphics lovers' are here.

Theta_Sigma: Damn, I wish they had of posted this sale when I had cash. I haven't played Bard's Tale in forever...Oh well, always next time I suppose. :) Awesome to see this game available at a killer price though.
I've got a spare Steam key for Just Cause and I'll give it to whoever promises to buy The Bard's Tale for Theta_Sigma.
For the record, the Android version of The Bard's Tale ALSO has the original trilogy, but for now only the first game is playable.

The controls are feckin' horrible though.

Well, playing a game designed for keyboard and mouse input on any tablet device would be crappy.

Well, yeah, but it's not really been advertised that the iOS and Android versions have it, and even if the original trilogy doesn't work all that well on a touchscreen, it's still a nice addition.

The mouse emulation on Android at the very least has been well done.

trebor8273: Bloodygoodgames saying that I'm probably the same myself there are some games that i cant play like the early ultima games and the first might and magic and sadly a few others which i would love to play.
That's me too!

I'm absolutely broke this month, but managed to spend about an hour going over and over the Ubisoft sale to see if there was ONE old Might and Magic game I just had to have. I spent ages looking at YouTube Let's Plays and then just decided, graphics-wise, even if I loved the story I doubt I'd ever manage to play it because the graphics would drive me nuts.

So.....I left that sale alone :) Maybe later.
That is unfortunate. Wow after all these times Bard's Tale is on Steam not on GOG! Wow. Really wow.

Why publishers still ignoring GOG? This is the place of Old Games. Not Steam. It is a shame.

We can't get new games here. Now we won't be getting old games here too. Fuck.

morciu: is that game really that good? I never played any of them but I remember being kind of interested in the remake when it came out.
If you are talking about the first three games... I think I have never played a cRPG as burdensome as e.g. Bard's Tale 2 (on Amiga). I think you pretty much have to draw dungeon maps to squared paper, combat was quite hard (even instant deaths IIRC), dungeons were real PITA with all kinds of traps etc... I'm genuinely amazed so many people have fond memories of the games, I just found them unfun already back then.

I didn't find them challenging in a good way like e.g. some Wizardry games, mostly just irritating. But maybe I just didn't get it.

Of that bundle, I personally would be most interested to the remake. And also maybe a bit interested to see Apple IIGS versions of _any_ games running, just to see how the Apple IIGS graphics stack against Amiga versions.

That's how games were back then bro, they punished you and you had to really had to beat the game.

Yeah I was there, playing through Ultima 2-3 on Apple IIc, and later e.g. some Wizardry games... But there just was something that rubbed me the wrong way with Bard's Tale games.

Have you played Wasteland? It has a similar style due to being made by the same people, and it's just as hard, but it feels more fun and open (probably due to the top-down perspective and overworld map).

trebor8273: has anyone who's played chopperlifter HD tell me if its any good? it reminds me of desert strike from the pictures
As off-topic as your question is: I only read a review which stated that it's rather crappy.
its not that off topic as its the same developer made it and as someone pointed out its on sale and as people on gog are usually nice i was looking for a opinion from someone who played it. sorry if that offended you.
