For those who have missed it. The original Trilogy has been re-released together with the "remake".

(The "remake" is also a very good game on its own. Especially if you are fed up with all the boring fantasy tropes every game seems to cling to.)

I'm not at home, so I can't say anything about the playability and version of the old games. And from what I can see the "The Bard's Tale Construction Set" is also missing.

My first RPG and one of my favourites of all time back in the field! Just AWESOME.

(Currently on sale for just 2,74€!)
was going to post this myself, a steal at this price especially for the original games, so many great memories. is this a sign that they might come to GOG as well at some point, i loved these games so much i would buy them again from gog.
Anyone know if past purchases are updated with this or you need to buy it again ?

Give me ~15 minutes and I'll let you know.
These must be the DOS versions right? They have the worst graphics of all the versions of the original games (except perhaps the Apple II versions). Amiga 64 versions were miles ahead in terms of colors, second would be the Apple IIGS versions.

As you usually can't rebuy games on Steam, it should be in an update. I'll check when I'm home. (But others will probably have ninja'd me by now).

You are arguing graphics on Bard's Tale? Blasphemy ...

Btw, either type, or my steam client hasn't updated the price yet. See attached picture.

€1.74 over here. EU citizens second class for the win!

I'm not terribly interested in those games, but hey, it's never going to get this cheap on GOG, anyway.
SimonG i agree never understand people who use GOG but moan about graphics!

Maybe you've gotten a "Greece Bonus". For me it is still 2,74€ ;-)
Am I missing something? I only see the remake there...

Scroll down, it's basically thrown in as a bonus.

Actually, as Baz said, it's an EU2 thingy. Check SteamPrices for even more fun ;)

I know right, but the DOS versions really DO look like ass, looks like 4-colors or some crap. Also the "official" versions were bugged, they were later patched by fans though, so I wouldn't mind knowing if Fargo and the gang managed to pull together some kind

I know the source code of these games is long lost, but I'd love to see some fan patches for the DOS version something like the patches for the old Ultima versions, which took the better graphics from the other non-DOS versions of the name (Atari ST etc) and put them into the DOS version.

Anyone want to do this? I'll pay you :)
I don't like what I see in the "downloading" folder of the update at the moment.
The classics release is multiplatform. I hope, you don't have to access them via the main BT.
