forbidden5: Employing region locks to enforce (higher) regional prices is inexcusable, and one of the main reasons why I remain suspicious of content control tools such as Steam.
There's pretty much only two locked regions. UK and Russia.

Which is where I orginally pre-.ordered my copy of the game. Heh.

Well, I cancelled that order. No idea what I'm gonna do now.

What if they stock some international copies?

I specifically ordered a UK-copy and I don't think they got other versions of the game. No luck there, I'm afraid.

Hm, I understand the EU-PEGI version is not region-locked. Maybe I can find a good price for that somewhere.

Who was the retailer.

I find it hard to believe you couldn't come to an agreement if they in fact would stock some international copies. They're not stupid, they would know that region locked copies would be returned and that they would have to give you a refund.
Well, having made this thread way back when and then having decided to not get Deus Ex HR at launch (since I wanted to play Batman AC more) I thought I'd mention: I finished Human Revolution and it was awesome.

And... that DLC is 15 fucking dollars... yeah, I'll pass for now. Still, the devs should be terribly proud of themselves for bringing Deus Ex back from the Invisible War fiasco.

Though the secret to all boss fights (except the last one) is to spam frag mines directly at the boss, fight over in 10 seconds (though you might have to reload a couple times to get the aiming right and avoid blowing yourself up too). Though, I thought the high point was the conversation bosses anyway.

FYI: The DLC is only $5 on Amazon right now. It's a Steam code that they'll send you. :)

Glad you enjoyed it! I pre-ordered it for $28 on GMG and enjoyed every dollar I spent. It was a fantastic game. Heard some talk of it recently and it has me wanting to go back and try the completely non-lethal approach (sans boss fights). I'm glad that it sold well because the sequel can only be even bigger / better. (I'm an optimist in most everything.)

Er, have it on XBox 360, but I did see that, thanks:)

I did appreciate the small touches, like the invisibility cloak that bends light gets you through the laser fences.
I didn't buy this game right away either but I thought it was a great game too. Within the first few hours of play, I had some gripes about this game (top of the list being no melee or advantage/consequence of choosing praxis points). I still don't like it as much as the first Deus Ex but once I let the game be what it wanted to be and quit critiquing it based on what I wanted it to be, I enjoyed it quite a bit. I've noticed that this new approach for me has helped me enjoy a lot more games that I might not have enjoyed before.
