I've browsed the game catalogue a dozen times and I always find new things to put on my wish list. So I thought it would be a good idea to make a random page to introduce different games that are good, but for one reason or anther never had their five minutes of fame that people have found here on GOG. Also I was bored, sue me.

So the game I found was Arx Fatalis. I had never heard of it before, but now I'm glad I did and its on my wish list for the next sale. Or when I have money.

So what games have you found?
Nice thread. :D

I'll add a vague one: most of the indie titles on here. FTL, Trine, and Shuggy just to name a few. I adore those games and I never would have know about them had I not start hanging out in here.

I like to think that The Cat Lady, Deadly Premonition and Sanitarium are not obscure... but if someone thinks they are, I'll recommend them once again :)
I thought this thread was about something happening to the ObsCure games page, which puzzled me since it disappeared ages ago.
I know they are not that obscure, but I'd never encountered the Tex Murphy games before coming to GOG. I found this particularly surprising seeing that I love adventure games. Anyway, so far I've played Mean streets and Martian Memorandum and loved every minute of them.

Even 'driving'? :)

You know, I actually didn't mind the driving bits. It made me feel like I was traveling all around the city chasing down leads. I had a notepad, taking down information from people like a real PI and I mostly played it during downtime at work so I wasn't in a hurry.

I have loved Tex Murphy games for years, ever since I played the first two (on a friend's computer and didn't know the names of them) and getting a copy of Under a Killing Moon for Christmas the year it came out. Now this is making me more and more excited to get Tesla Effect!!! :D
Silent Storm! In case you're a turn-based tactical nut like myself :-)
I don't think that game got the praise it deserved.
Arx Fatalis is awesome, buy it!

Apart from Arx Fatalis, games that I discovered through GOG only and ended up loving include Enclave, Blade of Darkness, Waking Mars and Unmechanical. Honorable mention: Anachronox, Startopia and Dark Fall: The Journal.

Games I'd likely have never discovered if not for GOG, and which I am grateful to have found, include Botanicula, The Penumbra Collection, and Escape Goat. There are many more I expect to add to that list once I've had a chance to play them, like Papers Please, Shelter, Knock Knock, and Pathologic.
One game I never heard of before I found it on GOG, and subsequently came to absolutely adore is Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising. I highly recommend it.
I'll throw Heretic Kingdoms into the obscure games mix, at least for me :) I never heard about it before it got here but it was certainly worth the experience :)

Another obscure game would be Smugglers V, I hardly ever see anyone talking about that one :)
