If you handled Grim Fandango, Neverhood will be just fine ;)

lol seriously? How can it scare you if it's like the most hilarious game ever? Plus they just look like clay, actually they're latex for the purpose of easier claymation recording :D.
I voted for the Neverhood too. Skullmonkeys was my first PS1 game release I bought when I was 10. And it miraculously still works.

Hah, Skullmonkeys should be runnable on modern systems using PSXR emulator:

I hope Neverhood will end up here, but I bet Armikrog will arrive before that.

Meanwhile I just discovered this: Return to the Neverhood (music inspired by the game).

Terry taylor is a legend. I love his music from The Neverhood and Skullmonkeys.
I do have epsxe. I just can't back my own copy up because the disc is severely damaged on a certain movie. :(
I believe it IS legal to download an ISO of Skullmonkeys from somwhere on the internet to my computer as long as I have a legitimate copy of the game, right?

I wouldn't see a problem with you finding such image when you already own the game :) Not sure what Sony could say - but I wouldn't care. If you find some iso - pcsxr has an option to load CD images. I didn't try epsxe, but it might have a similar function. pcsxr has one advantage over epsxe though - it doesn't require any proprietary ROMs from old PlayStations to function.

Yeah, music from the Neverhood is one of those which is always in my archive since I listen to it often :)

Did you happen to mean the BIOS file instead of proprietary roms? I mean you always need an ISO or the disc in your computer to make it run. I can also hook up my cheap joypad, which is always awesome. :)

Yep, I meant the BIOS (got mixed it up with Amiga ROMs). PCXR emulates the BIOS, while most other emulators require the original ones which you need to find somewhere separately.

PCXR doesn't require mounting of the actual ISO or physical CD. You just open the existing ISO with it and it runs.

The Neverhood is one of my favourite games, so would love to see it on GOG, despite the chances being low.
I backed Armikrog and really look forward to that. so hopefully that will make it here.

I was also lucky enough to get a small piece of the clothing worn by the sequined Skullmonkey from THIS video, as well as a Skullmonkey sketch from Doug Tennapel!

I should take a look at it. I remember this friend of mine who used to play the game with me as well when he was 5 when he came over. Now, 17 years later, we recently got together and tried the game out. I am still really pro at it. And he completely sucked. Playing skullmonkeys is like swimming. Once you got it, you won't lose that touch.

That's amazing! I also backed armikrog with a friend. (still can sing along with the song in your video)

I see really zero reason for EA not to allow GOG selling it. Especially since now Neverhood works like a charm in ScummVM and can run on tons of different operating systems.

EA already have some old games sold on GOG. But EA are EA - it's often hard to find common sense there.

Yeah, I definitely agree. I just think the likelihood of EA releasing it is low. :(

We should hold a petition to get The Neverhood on GOG. Raise a GOG army and spam their CEO.

I loved skullmonkeys so much I even played a song of the soundtrack on guitar and put it on youtube 7 years ago or so.

Favourite songs are: Sno' Yell Oh, The sewers, Castle de los Muertos, The Divy Ride and of course the title screen song.

Oh wait this was about The Neverhood. Hehe.
