OK, The following people are in round 2:
Here's how it will work. I am going to buy a gift code for each of the following games:
Anachronox
Thief 1
Thief 2
Deus X
CroyoStasis
Ultima 7
Robin Hood
Soulbringer

I will then divide each code into 4 parts. Each of you will receive 2 gift code parts for games that you don't want. I will identify what the part is, e.g. for a code for thief gold 123-5678-90ab-cdef I would send someone the message Thief Gold: code=1234, part=1.

That's about it really. After that the game is in your hands. There are going to be 8 complete codes floating around in the GOGverse, it's up to you guys how you resolve them.

It should be apparent that you'll have to make deals with each other in order to work your way to a complete key. In some ways it's a race to see who can trade their way there fastest, however there are some nuances. Firstly as you exchange keys, you both gain knowledge of both keys involved in the trade. So it's possible that your keys could then be retraded by someone else to everyone else, leaving you with no bargaining power. You'll have to decide on a strategy.

There is also the problem that the person trading with you may lie about what the code is. To make this a less successful strategy I will act as a verifier. You can PM me and ask if a particular code part is valid. I will simply give a yes or no.

I'll send out the codes tomorrow at about 5pm GMT. If you don't want to play, please let this thread know by then, so someone else can take your place.

Any keys still not claimed after a week will be put on the Ninja Giveaway, so you can't just sit on them. As games are redeemed, I will post that they have been redeemed, but not say by who.

EDIT: Game is delayed by one week, I'd like all involved to PM me or reply in thread (if they haven't) to say they are in.

+1 It is not even so much "nasty" as it is going to be "trade-trade-trade", which is ok, but I by no means am a fan of trading.

Me either. I would probably hang on to my portion of the code and give it to the highest bidder. Only drawback is you wouldn't be getting anything from your top 4

I think you underestimate how nasty this has the potential to get. While I can verify that a code is not valid, a person could only ask me that question after the trade was completed. So they would have lost their key for free. The only reason to validate is so that you know you have a legit key, and so that you know that the person cannot be trusted in future.

Also, there are loads more ways to politically scheme this, if you take time to consider your strategy.
