The first thing that pops up in my mind with 'music industry' is assembly line production (hope it's the correct term).
Programs/concepts like Idols seem to confirm that.

Well, my number one favorite band of all time will ALWAYS be Nine Inch Nails (no matter what crap he spews out, he can't diminish the pure amazingness of The Downward Spiral, The Fragile, and Year Zero (and to a lesser extent, Pretty Hate Machine and Broken). I've also got a vested interest in The Residents, and Sublime (to name a few). Right now I'm listening to Beaver Machine.

Right now I'm in a Five Finger Death Punch period. And I'm trying to listen to Volbeat, but I'm not too sure...
But Iron Maiden will always be the best for me. (and next to them, all the bands I grew up with: Megadeth, Priest, Sepultura and so on...)

I listen to Nine Inch Nails, I wouldn't call them my favourite band by far but alot of their music is good.

I got into NIN again recently. I love their music. As of now, they're definitely one of my favorite bands. Which one is actually my favorite depends on my mood.

I recently discovered Phideaux, with the album Doomsday Afternoon. Can't stop listening...

At this very moment, my computer has served up "Blind" by the Talking Heads.
In general, I've been listening to Basia (Trzetrzelewska) lately, with generous doses of Daniel Amos as always.

Ohh yeah, Porcupine Tree. Didn't listen to The Incident yet, but Fear of a Blank Planet, Deadwing and Signify are still (and will always be, I think) on my playlist... Excellent band.

Got bored the other night, so I hastily edited together an unofficial music video using clips from the movie "Begotten" and a track off an upcoming album by the black metal band Dødsengel. We all liked the result very much, and thought it fitting to share as a sample off said upcoming album "Mirium Occultum".
"Begotten" fits well with Dødsengel because the movie shares many of the themes they use in their lyrics; the death of the external God, the initiatoric value of the destructive, and to some extent even aeonics.
The video is a bit macabre and contains some nudity, so get back to work.
