Continuing on a little...

Theme Park World - EA
Assuming that this game can make use of nGlide, I imagine we'll see it show up in several months, after Theme Park has had its time to sell.

Imperium Galactica 1 & 2 - GT Interactive/Infogrames/Atari
I'm guessing there's a complex legal issue for why we haven't seen these show up yet (at least for the first one, because it's a DOS title = DOSBoxable).

Sim Ant - EA
Perhaps being held back because of it's associated with "edutainment" (I assume Wikipedia is correct in saying there is a DOS version of the game), which is too bad because it appears to have sold well and have been well-received - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sim_Ant#Reception

Battlefield 1942 - EA
Free on Origin, enjoy it on there. ;)

Worms World Party - Team17
Price disagreement, multiplayer issues, etc. - maybe one of those problems

Anno 1602 - originally Sunflowers, now Ubisoft
"On April 11, 2007, Ubisoft announced that it had acquired Sunflowers, with the deal to be closed in Ubisoft's first quarter fiscal year 2007." - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunflowers_Interactive_Entertainment_Software
Hopefully 2014 will see more Ubisoft games released.

Mass Effect 2 - EA
Similar situation to ME1, I imagine

Hitman: Blood Money - Squeenix

Well, I was completely wrong about who owned the rights to SiN, but it's great to see another highly-desired game marked "completed" on the wishlist!

EDIT: Well I wasn't completely wrong. Meh, doesn't matter.

tfishell: Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 - CDPR
These have absolutely no chance of appearing. Yet perhaps they should be marked in-progress.
Is this a typo? Because there is absolutely no chance of these two not appearing.

Fever_Discordia: "American McGee's Alice - EA
(EA probably wants to keep it on Origin exclusively right now)"

Except you can't get the original "American McGee's Alice" on Origin
They have the sequel Alice: Madness returns

https://www.origin.com/en-gb/store/buy/50391/pc-download/base-game/standard-edition-ANW.html

and some people even have the original in their Origin accounts because it was a pre-release bonus but you can't buy the original separately from there or anywhere else and its not bundled with Madness Returns any more AFAIK - I'll like to me proved wrong though!

tfishell: Okay, I thought it was still bundled with Madness Returns on Origin, but perhaps not. I'll edit the post to reflect what you said.
Oh, but it is. You just need to know where to look.

Code to activate on Origin, by the way. I bought it myself late last year and can confirm it includes the original.

Yeah, someone pointed out that its on GMG too - odd!

A joke. ;)
I doubt that Mass Effect will be treated like Jade Empire, for two reasons. The first is that Mass Effect is sold in EA's own Origin store (while Jade Empire is not) and Mass Effect 3 even seems to be an Origin-exclusive, it's not even on Steam. The second is that EA is probably making the most money with the Mass Effect DLCs which are rarely on sale, if at all, and that as of yet there is no complete edition available. Of course GOG could sell the DLCs separately, like they've already begun doing with other games, but the DLCs require in-game online-activation. Somehow I don't think that EA would go to the length of removing all DRM from the DLCs and the games for GOG, when the series is still profitable and they can dictate the conditions at their own store.
I have to wonder what the holdup is on Activision putting content out here. Absolutely no new games from them in 2013 (except Police Quest 1 EGA, and that's probably because someone on the GOG staff found the disks for it), and only 6 releases from them in 2012. They've still got a massive library they could sell, including all the old Infocom text adventures (most of which are already on iPad).

Not just Activision but Ubisoft, Square Enix, and various other big publishers. - Steam recently go the next Hitman classic while we didn't.

It's pretty frustrating.
Sweet! STALKER is off the list. 4000+ (not the mention the other games' votes) wishlist votes checked off.

I suspect February will also see Titan Quest and Pegasus Prime appear, but naturally I could be wrong.
I have been wondering why Sid Meier's Gettysburg! and Antietam! are not here.
We already have a Firaxis/EA game (Alpha Centauri.) Maybe the problem is trying to get it to work with newer systems. I know that Gettysburg wouldn't work on XP until it was patched.
Or maybe there is just not enough demand for it?

Anyone know if there are any rights issues that might be holding it up?

Activision barely even bother to release or market their "big" games that don't scream billion dollar franchise. I doubt making a few thousand bucks from a GOG release is high on their priority scale, sadly.

I thought/hoped there might be a few people at Activision that might be on GOG's side, willing to take some time to negotiate re-releases of classics. (Maybe they were let go in 2013. :P)

Just to answer your question, I suspect it's a combination of compatibility issues and not enough demand.

Red Faction is off the list!
Not really an update, but TET answered my question of why some of these games aren't here:

(I felt the post was relevant to this thread, and I wanted to be able to save it for later.)
