tfishell: Not really an update, but TET answered my question of why some of these games aren't here:

(I felt the post was relevant to this thread, and I wanted to be able to save it for later.)
Ooh VERY interesting - any speculation as to what the bah-roken games that have been in the GOG hospital for 4 years might be?
Who was even signed up back then, in terms of Publishers?
I guess anything resolutely 16-bit Windows only (i.e. Win 3.1) is going to have issues, is anything from the DOS era still not playing well with DOSBox these days?
heh it would be funny if it turns out that GOG DOES have the opportunity to release a pack of C&C games but can't get them to pass QA while EA is happy to pump them out in the state it does!

More like early Win 95 games. Most Win 3.1 games had a DOS version.

Interplay for sure, Activision, Ubisoft, etc. I believe.

very interesting. rarely about pricing and certain games they can't get working.......
got to make u wonder why certain older games available elsewhere DRM free aren't available here either older xcoms
With Contracts - the most-desired Hitman game - appearing, and finally a new game from a big big publisher, Squeenix, I thought this might be worth a bump.

Hopefully it is a sign that more highly-desired Squeenix games will be appearing in the near future. I suspect, unfortunately, that won't be the case for the Final Fantasy games until who knows when...

BUT...

I could kind of see the Dungeon Siege games appearing soon. Unless I'm mistaken those are DRM-free on Steam, and unless there are compatibility issues, they might show up in the near future. At several thousand wishlist votes it would be excellent to mark those as "completed".

Whoa I can't believe how few votes some of the things like Just Cause and Quantum Conundrum have! - Too new maybe?
Revenant has close to 1000 and would make me happy
Heroic poses and red capes FTW, BTW!
Not many votes for it, but I'm curious why Tropico 4 isn't here. Tropico 3 and Omerta are both here (same dev and pub.)

Any idea?

150 ain't horrible, but I do suspect most people have already bought those games on Steam. JC 1 & 2 certainly have a place here but 150 is probably a factor in making it a lower priority for the GOG staff to try to bring the games.

Probably just a matter of priorities.

JMP: Pegasus Prime is marked as "completed"! Good stuff.
It's been a while, but I wanted to bump because of SimCity 4's release! It's unfortunate we didn't get SimCity 3000, but this game is very welcome too. :)
Games that I'd love to see become available;

The SSI Gold Box RPG games
Wizardry I-V
Seven Cities of Gold
Alter Ego
An excellent thread, great job, thank you. I was wondering why Rainbow Six does not include its mission pack Eagle Watch, as is usually the case with GOG releases; any ideas?
Rise of the Dragon from Sierra, is 400 votes enough to count?

I really wish we could see the original American Mcgee's Alice on GOG! It was an incredible game!

It's really frustrating since EA already updated it a bit for a pre-order bonus with the second game, but don't sell it individually at all on either Origin or GOG. Hell you can't even buy it as DLC for the second game, if you bought the second game without pre-ordering.
