I'll teach you some basic economics.

The law of demand says that the higher the price of a good, the less demand there is for it (and vice versa).

There is, however, one exception, the so called "Giffen good" which is demanded more as its price increases. The basis for this is that it is still the cheapest good available and people still demand it as they don't have assets available to buy other goods.
Did you know that babies are born with 300 bones in their body and yet by the time they reach adulthood, they have only 206 bones.

You actually enjoyed my account of viking poo?
Shrews can starve to death overnight.
The vikings were the first to discover North America.
Leif Ericson, a Norse Explorer, landed on the North American continent approximately 5 centuries before Christopher Columbus.

The "Blood Eagle" was the term given to a grisly Nordic execution, whereupon the victim would have his ribs cut open in such a way to resemble blood-stained wings, and then having his own lungs pulled out through wounds made in his back.

The feared inquisitor Tomas de Torquemada was highly superstitious, and kept what he believed was powdered unicorn horn with him at all times, to ward away danger.

In old folklore, Vampires couldn't cross running water.

Bacchus is the Roman name for the god of Wine, and Dionysus was the Greek name.

The 21st of December, 2012, is the 14th Baaktun, or "End of the Age of the World", according to the Mayan Long Count Calender.

Santa Claus originates from the Dutch Sinterklaas, who in turn was inspired by Saint Nicholas, a 4th century Christian Bishop famous for his generosity.

The french verb "Conjurer" is a faux ami; it means "to ward away" or "to thwart", as opposed to summoning or to bring forth.

The panzershreck is a German bazooka. The Nazis captured many bazookas after their victories in North Africa, and modified them to fire larger projectiles, with double the penetrative performance of their allied counterparts.

It is a scientific fact that sleeping on your hard-won knowledge after a study session helps your brain file it away into long-term memory for easier retrieval. http://www.good.is/posts/if-you-sleep-after-you-study-you-ll-remember-more/
I just saw the musical Evita, so I'll give you a piece of information that I learned from a history podcast, and I just can't get over it:

Evita Perón, the famous first lady of Argentina, was embalmed after her death. Her body disappeared for over 16 years and at one point her husband, Juan Perón, and his third wife kept Evita's corpse in their dining room near their dining table for 3 years.

What a conversation starter with dinner guests, huh? "Yes, that's my husband's ex-wife's dead body. There's a funny story connected to that...

Rabbits have to eat their own excrements, if they can they'd die.

This thread is so interesting to read.
George the III of the United Kingdom was thought to have porphyria. Porphyria is like vampirism only real. The disease makes a person's skin more sensitive to sunlight, it causes many sufferers to have stool with a purple pigmentation and I heard that it can be treated with blood transplants. The condition also can cause mental disturbances and is related to manic depression. My sources for this are:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porphyria

There is a christian Gospel called the Gospel of Eve with sexually extreme ideals like eating semen and having lots of sex, it was not included in the Bible:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gospel_of_Eve and http://www.cracked.com/article/18368_7-books-we-lost-to-history-that-would-have-changed-world/
