What might interest you all:

Did you know that a hill on North Island in New Zealand has a name Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu.

In translation, it means "The summit where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, the climber of mountains, the land-swallower who travelled about, played his nose flute to his loved one".

Ah yes, I was meaning a 'British' name, i.e. it was not something the aristocrasy would normally name a child.

I expect that somewhere back in history we can find another Peaches :).

Still, she was named Victoria after her mother, Victoria of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld, so to say that "it was not a name until then" is kind of stretching it. :)

Ah, then I'm plain wrong.
If you are short of time at the end of the day you can try with the polyphasic sleep, it will bring you some extra hours every day. The downside is that you must forget your social life, the world isn't set to follow that kind of sleep.
The name for urinals in some countries (Italy, France) comes from the name of a roman emperor, Vespasian (in Italy, urinals are called vespasiano). This is because he taxed people going to the latrines - he apparently defended it by saying "money doesn't smell".

Cynicism in ancient greek literally means "doglike", which is derived from Diogenes who is said to have never worn clothes, lived in a barrel, shat and masturbated in public (aka behaving like a dog) and telling Alexander the Great to stop blocking his sunlight.

Not really entering, just wanted to share that. :)
X % of Y is also Y % of X.

So, for example, instead of finding how much is 18% of 50, you can find 50% of 18.
Or instead of 4% of 25, you can find 25% of 4.

Can be useful if you don't have a calculator nearby.

Interesting giveaway.. I'm in..

- Pythagorean theorem was named after Greek mathematician Pythagoras. It was not discovered by him. He stole the credit from the Babylonians..
Langur monkeys work with Chital Deer to detect predators. Langur monkeys also pick fruit from trees and drop it for their Chital Deer friends.

The first monkey successfully sent into space was Albert II, a male rhesus monkey, who made it to a height of 83 miles (134 km) on June 14, 1949. Albert II was carried aboard a V2 rocket as well, though his fate was not as lucky as that of the fruit flies: a problem with the parachute on the recovery capsule sadly led Albert II to his death from the force of the impact upon landing.

Alright I'm in! Thx and Merry (upcoming) Xmas to you all!

Do you know what a pangram is? It is a phrase that contains all the letters of the alphabet.
For exemple in English it would be "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" (there you have all the 26 letters used in the English alphabet).
