Two of GOG's best. Anyone with a passing interest in adventure games has no excuse not to get these now.
I already have them both, otherwise this would be an insta-buy. Both are fantastic games.
I played through TLJ maybe 2yrs ago with nvidia card, there were some minor graphics glitches. Can't remember what exactly, but nothing I'd have been overly bothered about. Great game and great value at $5.

kScope: If I'm not wrong TLJ had some problems playing with nvidia cards with the latest drivers installed.
Has this problem been solved?

milanv: I think it was fixes a long time ago in the official version of the game. there was a little patch you needed to install and it worked. not sure about the GOG version. if anyone has already tried it from here, your info is highly appreciated :D

looks like the problem is not solved yet, on the game card it says: "Compatibility notice: The game may require installing an earlier (below 190.xx) driver version on NVidia graphics cards."
Oh, man... You want meg to buy TLJ a third time? :D

BrainCandy: Well, I own Sanitarium from GOG, and I own the original disks of The Longest Journey.
However...The Longest Journey seems like such a great game at such a great price, and I have not played it yet AND I mostly play games on my netbook AND I'm not sure I want to go through all the trouble of making ISOs to install on my netbook--GOG makes is so simple (and less space-consuming). I might just bite.
Does anyone know if it works on netbooks? I checked the netbook playability thread and searched the Longest Journey Forum and got nothing.

I second it working on netbooks. I have a Dell Mini 9 and it worked without problems. I loaded it up using an exteral DVD drive. It took awhile though since I have the 6 disc version.
This game is definately worth the full price GOG had on it. It is a very very very long game and will give you many hours of fun. At 50% you shouldn't even think about it. Just get it and play it already.
Yay! Too bad I already own The Longest Journey, and I bought Sanitarium on Gog yesterday... Just my luck :)
Great promotion! Always wanted to try TLJ and 5$ is a fair price.
These games are so good I don't mind that I missed out on this promo for both of them. Buy them now!
What a wonderful promo! As it so happens, I already bought those games from GOG during the Christmas sale, but this is great for anyone who doesn't have them yet.
beat longest journey a long time ago, but I had planned on doing it again... also heard good things about sanitarium, so i picked up both
Great! Now more people can experience the wonder and thrill of that rubber duck puzzle!!!
When I tried to buy one it says it is $9.99 - yet not supposed to be bundled. Will this be fixed in time?

Did you go through the promo page? (the "right now" link in the announcement post) It won't work if you go through the game page.

Already bought TLJ during the christmas promo, but Sanitarium for half the price is indeed very tempting...
