I am currently creating a game for those who love classic rpgs such as Might and Magic III-VIII. I have been working on this for a while now, but I have a lot of progress done. Once the game is released it will be available to everyone for no cost because it is a fan game.

Please checkout LOE Facebook page for screenshots and videos.

Keep in mind, I am using oblivion screenshots for some of the interiors as placeholders. LOE will have original interior art once LOE is completed.

Some of the features included:

- Complex random treasure system (much moredynamic then the Might and Magic series)
- Party based Rpg
- Character Creation
- Over 20 different skills
- Tons of different weapon, armor, and itemtypes
- 80 spells
- Over 200 different monsters
- Massive world to explore
- Schedule and time system (alpha stages)
- Might and Magic like training system for leveling up
- Plenty of more!

erthia: Thank you.
It made me immediately think of Bard's Tale. That's a compliment, btw.
Thanks, I remember playing some of the Bard's Tale games, and they were also good.
Thanks - It looks great.
Looks great. I liked the page to know when its available :D

Saw other versions. Is it the same story in a different style of gameplay?

@Kiva

Thanks!

The story is the same in all versions, but I wanted to give other options of gameplay. The action rpg version is geared more towards Ultima VII and Ultima VIII.. The tactical version is going to be similar to a war game. You have heroes and creatures. Creatures also gain levels. Very similar to Fantasy General.
Looks freaking awesome!

Need any beta testers?
It looks very good. Some screenshots really remind me of Undercroft.

Thread bookmarked. ;)

I love party crawlers like this, and I wish we could see more of them. I'll be waiting for this.

Hmm, sorry, I really don't want to be THE party pooper, because that seems to be a very interesting project, but...

Yes, there is a BUT, a big one : on the link you provided, Cambrey, I couldn't help but to notice that on several screenshots (yeah, let's be frank, ALL the shops and church screenshots) that it's clearly Oblivion screenshots integrated in the game. Erthia, are you sure Bethesda won't make a fuss about that?

No worries,

I am currently using oblivion images as place holders. They won't be there when LOE is released. Also, LOE is free, it is a game open to all at no cost. I want everyone to share the experiences of old RPG gaming.

Good to know and thanks for the answer! I would hate to see such an interesting project being banned for such reasons! ^_^ And frankly, the other screenshots were showing that you had enough talent to do that game entirely so I was wondering about the "why?" for the Oblivion screenshots. ^_^
This is looking really good. Cetainly my cup of tea.

Looking forward to seeing more of the game and good luck with the project.
