It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Crosmando: Well yeah, I think GOG should offer both DOSBox and SVM installers for all games which are compatible with both. But for games like I Have No Mouth where there's actually some serious bugs in the vanilla game which SVM fixes - it should be the default installer, put dosbox installer as extras.
Umm, we tested the entire game in DOSBox and if we encountered any game breaking bugs then we would have delayed the release until they were fixed.
Still, there's bugs. Better to use the build without those bugs than with, right?

If you, or anyone else, experience those bugs, send us a save and a bug report to our Support department as is always the case :)
.........
But there's probably nothing you can do to fix them. As they are bugs in the code of the original game. SVM fixes them because it's really a rebuild of the entire game code while using the assets, unlike dosbox which is a literal emulation. I'm not intending to disrespect GOG or it's support.

I assume you guys know SVM is better if you have the choice, otherwise you wouldn't have used it with the Kyrandia series?

All I can say is please leave feedback on this matter. :)

(Sorry but I try not to get into technical discussions too much as I don't always know everything about a particular issue with a game...)

Wait, do the Kyrandia games use ScummVM?
Noooo the dos version ran perfectly in the past with Dosbox!! :'(

Is there a list\info that shows what emulation\version is used for each GOG game?

There is an open request to have it disclosed on the game's store page but I'm not sure of any comprehensive list of versions and emulation methods.

Not every game on here is vanilla either. Some games use community patches for compatibility reasons, like System Shock 2 or Thief Gold.
Hotline Miami - Humble Bundle DRM-free version finally updated last month(Steam version was updated after only about a week or 2 with the bug) to fix the launcher in OS X.6.8.

GOG just changed the requirements.

Is there a site wishlist? I couldn't find it.
GOG, please, try to make happy both casual and old-style gamers like me!

I'm more ok with some community patches, as they're usually very good and lore-friendly, but I'd still prefer the option to start from the vanilla game and choose what to apply (expecially if I want to try other patches or some useful mods).
