Wow, that's really touching story, AcidFlux, thank you for sharing. I wish you and your family the best, and a merry Christmas!

I do have to say "not in" as I already got all the Nordic games I was interested in during the going away sale, but thanks for invitation!
AcidFlux, you got the best Christmas gift a person could ever get; may it be everlasting from now on and things get even better with your life. ;)

That's an awesome giveaway you have prepared and thank you for it, but, I won't partake in it.
As I've already told you, it saddens me to hear about family/ life issues leading to drug issues that usually lead to more family/ life issues. But it's a relief to hear that you made through the rough and dark times, and found your way back to what matters most in life - your family. It is indeed the most precious gift you could wish for the season, so treasure it with all your heart, and never lose sight of what makes a person complete.

+1 to you for overcoming all the obstacles and finding back to your family, and +1 to your family for giving you all a second chance.

Thanks for the invite and the generous GA, which could be titled "Gone Home".

Sadly I will have to disappoint you, though with the great participation you have one less shouldn't make a difference or even be noticed.

Not in.
Thanks for invite. In for Summoner.
What a great story, AcidFlux, and all the better that it's coming together over the holidays. But your advice is good throughout the year! Hope everyone here is able to enjoy the company of their loved ones in the coming weeks.

Thanks for the giveaway too! And since you insist ;) I'll be in for Gothic 2 Gold Edition :)
Wish I could enter for Summoner, but alas, I only have a rep of 2. Guess I started actually using the forums a little too late.
Nevertheless, I'm glad that you were able to turn things around. It often turns out that we don't realize just what we have until we hit rock bottom and lose it all. I doubt I'm the only person on here who shares a similar story with you. The important thing is to never forget what you've been through, because the perspective it can give you in the future is invaluable in keeping yourself together. If the Lord led you through it, he led you TO it for a reason. Don't forget it, but also don't be ashamed of it. Your experience will speak to others. I don't know precisely where you stand, in terms of faith, but I would guess by some of your statements that you are a Christian of one denomination or other. If that's the case, or even if it isn't, I pray that the things you have been through will help to strengthen your family, and your faith in God. Use your pain and your rehabilitation to heal others, as an example that there is always room for forgiveness and reconciliation. Thank you for sharing, both your story, and your games. Have a wonderful, merry Christmas!

Well, after reading the last posts from you my dear GoG Family Members ( Yes, i adopted all! You can't escape my love <3 ), I must say that the GA is over.

First of all I will just clarify (due to many people asking) that ineed I'm a Christian not in the way people some times name themselves as part of a group (I don't like segregation), but as the Lord wished it always: A doctrine (way of living). That's all ^_^

Now back to business:

The winners will be announced soon as I need to hook all things together (specually my kids to do what I told everyone) since I'm preparing something special for this ;)

So, be patient and stay tuned!

I just want to say your post has a certain hallmark card quality to it and I like it! In fact, a lot of the posts on here has a certain charm to it that would be great card material, I sort of think of the posts as digital Christmas cards to AcidFlux in a way and that's always nice to see. I definitely agree it's hard to know what you take for granted until it's gone and that's all part of understanding the motions in life. Thank you for your post and +1 for your kindness and welcome to the forums! :)
Thank you, Shadowrgog. I appreciate that.
AcidFlux: Thanks again for sharing, in every sense of the sentiment. Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas, and prayers to you, praises to the Lord, and thanks to Him in everything.
