New briefings:
General victory conditions: Annihilate, Hardcore
Eldar vs. Space Marines
General special rules for this encounter: Every player can build only up to 4 listening posts for limited requisition rate.
Eldar:
"This little struggle is over," said farseer Dorota, ripping her spear out of the chaos sorcerer's desecrated Power Armor. She looked where his head had been just a few seconds ago, seeing only pink smoke. "Hm. I won't even bother stopping you, little nuisance."
"If only all battles could go so well from now on." Kunarie could hardly hide the slowly fading excitement of battle.
"We shall proceed to the next stage now. Webway gates are already built on the surface of Mars."
"It won't be so easy." Dorota turned her head at him.
The Warlock looked towards Mars, "Our forward force is surrounded by Mon-Keigh."
"It seems we were noticed. You may have underestimated the humans... again." Sarcasm dripped from her words.
"Do not mock me, Farseer. But you are right. We should get to our forces before they waste valuable lives of our kind."
Dorota was silent for a while. Then she said: "I see death, my old friend."
"You always see death."
"And was I ever wrong?"
Special rules: Fenixp will be the surrounded player and won't be able to build vehicles, webway gates and advance to tier 3.
AliasAlpha will lift those restrictions as soon as any of his military units reaches Fenixp's original HQ, with the exception of warp spiders and builders. He is also restricted from building webway gates in its vicinity until he lifts Fenixps restrictions.
Space Marines:
"Emergency extraction is finished, brother. However, most of our forces are dead," said techpriest Gordianus as he turned to his Captain.
Each detail from the battlefield fuelled Brother Captain Hadrian Sylvanus' anger. Their forces lost, and conceded ground to those vile greenskins!
"What a waste of valuable lives," he responded and looked upon screen with projection of Mars. It seemed like Imperium was being attacked on all fronts.
"Sir, most of our assets are on board and ready to be used. The loss we have suffered against Orks is far from grave."
"Assets? What would you label "assets"? They are our brothers, Gordianus!"
"Yes, of course. I am receiving a transmission from the surface, it seems our forces stationed there have detected an Eldar presence. Due to our damaged engines, We can be aligned and ready to provide assistance in 20 minutes. Shall I move the ship, captain?"
"How does the situation on the ground look?"
"We have the Eldar forward force surrounded, they don't seem to stand any chance against these odds."
"Let us focus on those foul Orks then, we're not-"
"In the Emperor's name... I am detecting another Eldar force emerging from warp near their position. No longer a forward force, they are fully armed and ready for war!"
"We won't dwell then, start the engines. They will taste our fire and steel this day!"
Special rules: Space Marines are restricted from using any deepstrike attacks and orbital bombardments for initial 20 minutes (I recommend turning game timer on)
Orks and Imperial Guard:
Spearing the helmet of his first kill on his bosspole, Warboss Grotstompa gave a satisfied grunt. “Boys, dat was a good bit o’ dakka but we’z got lotz more to go. Da Mekboyz reckon da humies’ll ave a base up on dat big hill. We’z gotta go take it, da Mekz reckon we can nick some o dere big shooty canz an we can stomp em wiv dere own tankz! Mount up boyz and get ready for a fight!”
The ork horde rode ahead of a column of dust more than a kilometre wide, an unstoppable wall of roaring metal bouncing over the arid landscape, losing the occasional piece of armour or inattentive ork. Getting impatient, Grotstompa gave the driver a thump, causing him to swerve into and destroy a nearby warbike.
Crouching amongst a distant outcrop of rocks, Corporal Ayers scanned the maelstrom through the scope of his sniper rifle until he spied the biggest and ugliest of the greenskins and let lose a shot. The vehicle suddenly swerved and the shot connected with the driver, spraying his skull over the wartrukk. Ayers never got a second shot, as the warboss kicked the headless driver out and took the wheel, half of the ork line opened fire turning Ayers and everything within a hundred metres into microscopic fragments
Following the devastation at Hellas Planetia, the Promethei Terra outpost was on full alert. Reports of incoming greenskins spurred men into muster, Techpriests hastily repairing defences and equipment, left complacently untended for decades. Major Vaas addressed his troops, his voice booming out over the Vox. “Warriors of the Imperium, in the last week we have suffered humiliating losses. Our fellow guardsmen disgraced themselves in the eyes of the Emperor and it falls to us to reclaim the honour of the guard. We have the finest weapons, the best soldiers and the ultimate reason to win. Look to your lasgun, look to your squadmates and look to the Emperor and we shall win this day!”
Guardsmen grasped icons of the Emperor, whispering silent prayers of strength and deliverance however an unusually large number of them clutched icons of a far darker nature...
Special rules: If Imperial Guard loses and Chaos wins, one IG player will 'rebel' and join the side of Chaos players.
Necron and Chaos:
"Defeat of our force at Deimos plays right into my hands. It distracted the Eldar enough for our second force to emerge from the warp, away from prying eyes. Now, after gaining a bloody foothold on Mars, I can finally order my troops to start attacking those feeble Guardsmen and intransigent Marines. They do not stand a chance. Those 'righteous' men claim to feel no fear, but for the troops of Tzeenech, however, it is a fact. Their fallen bodies will be as sacrifices to our Lord. And after my glorious victory, I am fairly certain I will find many interesting items on this planet, and after it is mine, the next goal will be so called 'Holy Terra.' I am looking forward to..."
"Master!" said a man standing nearby, his twisted body barely fitting into a guardsmen uniform. Sorcerer, cringing over a recording device, has shrugged with anger.
"How dare you interrupt me?"
"I..." He was silent for a while, muted by fear. "I... Look, master." He has pointed to the horizon.
The sorcerer slowly put down his recorder and looked in the direction towards which his minion was wildly gesturing. He saw the faint green glow, and the sound of a thousand legs stomping on the ground in perfect synchronisation.
"In the name of Tzeenech... TO ARMS, MY SLAVES!"
Special Rules: If chaos loses, playes will be restricted from using Tzeenech until they take the territory back. Chaos can only use Tzeenech.
Deadline: 7th February.

All right, first of all: I am sorry for the waiting, I've had 2 important exams for the uni in the row.
Second of all: Special rules. You can once accidentally break them, but I would not recommend it. If you break them two times, you will have to play the match again. If they're not clear, feel free to ask.
Third of all: If you don't excuse yourself from the game, in which case I hope someone will play instead of you (in the best case: Me.) and won't make the deadline, I will kick you out of the game right away. When all games are finished, new briefings will be written within next 2 days and posted right after that.
Aaaaand the last thing: I won't be here 'till 31st. So if you need to play with me, or need anything from me ... Ask then, ok?
I hope everything is clear and I hope it'll be fun :-) You can choose whichever maps you want, as long as they're FoK maps.
Oh and my thanks to Andy for proofreading and Alias for writing some intros!
Looks like we Orkz iz gonna have lots of squishy humans to fight!
Time to get ready boyz!! WAAArGH!

I don't know if this is intentional or not but you have it so the IG will join the chaos in a fight vs the orkz.
Also what maps do we play on?
Other then that this sounds awesome, I like the idea of these special rules you have added in.
I look forward to another strike
Eldar, huh?
Alright, now I must ask a question. What types of SM units in Firestorm Over Kronus have the ability to see infiltrated/concealed units? I can live with no deepstriking (even though Steel Rain is my FAVORITE tactic....), but no deepstriking AND invisible enemies is more than I can take.
I hope this battle will go better than our last one...
Unless the mod has changed it which it may have so you'll have to check but the listening posts can make servitor drones that can spot infiltrated units. These can then be infiltrated themselfs with an upgrade and attached to a squad so they don't get targeted so easy.

It's the same as vanilla DoW, then? Great. Do the skull-probes still drop dead of natural causes after about five minutes of play have gone by?

Just loaded up the game seems I was wrong, hadn't played the space marines in the mod. I didn't check ever unit but so far it appears only the scouts have an ability you have to activate for a limited time that reveals infiltrated units. You may want to play and look to see if there are any more methods to do so.
I am not sure it actually applies to every unit, but I think detection of infiltrators in FoK simply works this way: Any infantry unit can detect infiltrated, as long as it's close enough. At least when I play SM and see infiltrators, I just go and stand next to them and that reveals 'em... Of course, ability of Scouts has way better detection range.
Don't forget the only thing that Eldar can actually infiltrate are snipers rangers/the-other-guys-I-never-use, and striking scorpions. And buildings, of course, that's not a problem with FoK detection method thou...

I'll need to do some experimentation, then. If what you say is correct, then the obvious solution is to use vanguard veterans with lightning claws as scouts.
I remember a trick with the Eldar that allowed them to conceal ANY unit or building near a webway gate, regardless of whether or not said unit or building already had the ability to conceal itself. Since you could build an infinite number of gates anywhere you wanted, you could theoretically cover the whole map in invisibility-inducing teleporters if you had the resources and the patience. Many headaches were had fighting Eldar forces who used that trick in the campaign...
The best time for me to play would be sometime this weekend, so I don't have to work around my college class schedule. Anyone up for a match on saturday?

Prator: 10 PM GMT?

That should be fine, I'll be in touch closer to that time.
Just so I don't need to dig through the older threads, whos playing as the necrons?
