The Sol System
The cradle of the Imperium Of Man and the seat of the Emperor
Within this system lies the great forge world of Mars, its immense factories an endless chain of production in service to the Imperium. It was a world of order and efficiency but one short moment of chaos was to change the world forever.
A great inhuman scream pierced the very fabric of the world, driving a million servitors and enginseers to madness. Laser torches were turned on containers of freshly made ammunition, the detonation of millions of cooked off bolter shells creating an explosion that could be felt on the other side of the planet. Titan reactors were overloaded, destroying or crippling the vast majority of the mighty war machines. Aboard the Battlefleet Solar, ammunition detonated, reactors overloaded and engines ran out of control, leaving the fleet and martian spacedocks little more than an impenetrable cloud of debris and bodies.
Not long after the devastation, a sudden violent warp storm engulfed the Sol system. Numerous space hulks emerged from the chaos to crash on the surface, reports of orks started coming in from outlying districts, scattered sightings of eldar had the imperial guard jumping at shadows and rumours of dark rituals began to draw the attention of the inquisition.
The invasion of Mars had begun...
ROUND 1 - FIGHT!
Ork vs Marines - Hellas Planetia

Barely functional after the sabotage, the strike cruiser Andronicus maintained a precarious orbit between the martian surface and the majority of the in-system debris field. The few Techpriests who had survived the mysterious scream worked and prayed tirelessly to bring its primary systems back online. In the dim flickering light of the briefing room's charred remains, Brother Captain Hadrian Sylvanus briefed the marines of the Imperial Fists 7th Company.
"Brothers, Techpriest Gordianus has detected the crash site for one of the space hulks that exited the warp as the storm erupted. With the damage it is impossible to determine exactly what is happening there so I am dispatching the 7th company to investigate and gain control of the area. We will not permit an incursion this close to holy terra, if there is nothing but debris there, cleanse it with fire. If there are xenos, exterminate them. If there are traitors, make them pay for their heresy a thousand fold. For the emperor!"
.
Meanwhile, the impact crater at Hellas Planetia was teeming with the green tide, swarming forth from the charred remains of the crashed space hulk. Mekboys and gretchen hastily assembling ramshackle fortifications whilst the rest of the boyz looked for their weapons and something to use them on. Striding to the centre of the cacophony, alternately thumping and decapitating any ork that didn't move aside, Warboss Urgok Grotstompa let loose a long blast from his kombi-bolta to capture the attention of the thronging horde.
"OI SHUT IT! Now listen up grotz, dere's a reason Ize de boss, its cause youze gits are fick. Dis ere is marz, it makes all de humie's best dakka, wi'out dat dey're gonna be easy ta stomp so we'z gonna crush da humies an anyone else fick enough to not run away, we'z gonna make dis place orky and den we'z gonna do tha same to dere 'omeworld. Iz gonna be da biggest boss evar! Iz not gonna stop till I meets dat emperor git and takes iz ead for me boss pole! WAAAAAAAGH!!!!"

There was no denying it, Exarch Kunarie was officially impatient. Surveying the desolate landscape of Deimos, she saw nothing of the imminent and catastrophic threat the Farseer had divined and the lack of action was beginning to aggravate her. Even whilst meditating Farseer Dorota noticed her friend's disposition
"The strands of fate have been drawing us here for some time, old friend. The Ulthwe on Lorn V defeated the Orks that threatened to pillage our space, the Saim Hann on Necromunda disrupted the human's plans to invade many of our maiden worlds and I sense we have a similar destiny."
"I must confess Farseer that I find aiding the Mon-Keigh unsettling"
"You must have faith that this is for the best interests of the craftworld. The humans are too valuable for our long term..." As she spoke, the orbiting runes coalesced into a single rune. Her eyes snapped open, her voice barely audible as she whispered "The ancient enemy. They are here"
.
Lord Kauroth looked towards the orbiting devastation and gave a rare smile, wishing that he could have seen the destruction in person but was more than willing to capitalise on it. An agonised scream from within the mine headquarters sent a delicious chill through his flesh and reminded him of the happier moments of the Heresy. Stepping back within the building and casually crushing the skull of a simpering fool that didn't move aside, he addressed his chief sorceror.
"Enon, is the ritual complete?"
"One final sacrifice, my lord and the gate will be ready", the sorceror replied, slowly slitting the throat of the last of the screaming mine workers and directing her bleeding body towards the vast pool.
"Then we shall be legion. We shall march forth from this place and spread corruption wherever we tread. We shall complete the work that Horus failed 10,000 years ago and bring final death to the false Emperor"

"Listen up you dogs!
For everyone who's yet to receive the blessings of knowing me, I am Colonel Jim Dener. Now that we're all the best friends forever and ever, I need to also add you're all spineless cowards and so nothing but worms in my eyes. I wonder what was it you were doing last time, 'cause I'm sure as hell it was not defence of your homes. Does every one of you tremble in fear when you see a servitor? Those things are nothing more - emotionless remnants of what they used to be. And yet, without swift help of Iron Fists, you'd all be lost. I hope you won't repeat your mistakes, because the cans are attacking again - and I swear to you, if any one of you just turn around in my general direction, smoking barrel of my gun is the last thing you'll see in your miserable lives. Dismissed!"
.
"Ha, our artist is at it again. What are you writing there, little guy?"
Sigh, Mike was driving me nuts. But hey, it's hard to find real friends between all the 'brains' the Guard consists of. "A diary. You know, boring stuff. Go harrass newbies or whatever you do when you're bored."
"Nah, I'm doing that right now. But you're probly right, I'm going to win the war or something."
Finally alone. Day before yesterday was probably the most horrifying experience I have ever had during my service with Guard - of course, I have never really met xenos before either, the biggest problem I have ever been solving was within the Guard itself. The day started pretty much as any other, and I'm sure I have described that far too many times in here. My squad was stationed on the outer reaches of the city at the time. Everything was fine, until we've heard distant shooting and explosions. At first, I have heard only guardsmen weapons, so I thought someone rebelled again or something - it is not too uncommon.
But then, unknown sounds reached my ears. I was sure they were gunshots, but not of any human weapon I know of. So I took my rifle, looked into scope... And, in distance, saw something that looked like a human skeleton, emitting a faint green glow. What surprised me the most was how fast they were approaching - there were several units of Imperial Guard between them and my position! And then, real questions started popping into my mind. What are they? Where did they come from? They're not Eldar, even though I would not be surprised to see them after all that happened during last few weeks. They sure as hell weren't orks, and they didn't look like the reports of chaos either. We got no report of any other force in this region, and because of Warp Storm, it was impossible to jump into orbit. Well, those were probably my thoughts AFTER the attack, I have it all mixed together - I was pretty much absorbed by fear. When one of those ... Machines have fallen, three more have taken it's place. And, as if that was not enough, the fallen ones have sometimes rose again. Their weapons were firing green beams, that were tearing asunder infantry and armor alike. And they didn't stop.
When they got into range of my squad's weapons, we gave them everything we had. During the battle we heard the screams of our dying brethen, but those things didn't make a sound, didn't stop. They were marching, silently, keeping formation even in the heaviest fights. Half of our men were unable to fight as they were trembling in fear, another half was so surprised they quickly fell. And the enemy kept marching. I would be dead right now, if Space Marines of Iron Fist didn't appear out of nowhere. They've even had a Land Raider amongst them! I would expect our attackers to run in panic, but... Their formations didn't even break! They have slowly turned around, holding their ground, and then marched back the way they came. I don't know what were they after, nor do I know why did they attack us - but it seemed they wanted to take Fort Ilias. I... Oh crap, they're calling us to briefing. Oh well, I guess I'll have to finish later.

All right, people. First of all, apologies for being a .. bit late, 4th became 4th-ish became 5th. But hey, everything's prepared now and its least its not quite the 6th!
Since there's 7 of you, dividing you between races was pain, but there you go - if you want to switch with someone, feel free to do so, if you want to play a race that is not fully occupied, it's ok as well, but keep in mind we were trying to get one skilled and one not-so-skilled player into each faction.
Space Marines:
Weclock
Prator
Imperial Guard:
carlosjuero
Tirpitz (wecome aboard meatshield of the Imperium)
Chaos:
Ralackk
Joe
Necron:
Bio2hazard
Ork:
Andy_Panthro
Eldar:
FenixP and hopefully myself (if not, he'll kick an AI in and see how fast can he loose - this could get a bit tricky later on, but for now, it'll suffice)
If there's only one player in any given race, Fenix or I will jump into that particular game, unless someone else wants to. Too many races for too little players I'm afraid.
There aren't any special rules or special objectives, for the first round, the objective will only be "Annihilate." Important note: All the maps are the [FoK] ones, included in FoK mappack
You can play your matches whenever you want, if all the others have time. Ideally we want to advance the campaign each week so getting the games done within that timeframe is pretty important.
