Yay Halloween! Best holiday.

Personally, I don't think gore is scary; I prefer things that are more atmospheric (say, The Others or The Woman In Black).

Yeah, I know what you're saying. I'll amend my statement to "Generally I don't find gore scary". It can be, but a lot of movies tend to seem like "Let's be gross for the sake of being gross" - that's what I don't find scary.

agreed, the violent scenes in SAW got nothing on how quint got eaten by jaws or how brutal murphy got killed in robocop.
