awalterj: It was 170 men who accidentally (yes, accidentally, there I said it!) walked less than a mile across the border. If we had intended to really invade Liechtenstein, we wouldn't have sent that many men. Maybe 20-25 would have sufficed.
Just as I thought, you use the "it was an accident" argument. All I see is the Swiss bullying the smallest neighbour :-). In the age of global positioning satellites, air recon, and good old maps, you expect us to believe it was an accident! I think you sent in so many troops to intimidate the poor people, as you said, 25 could have done the job, but you blood thirsty Swiss sent 170 pike wielding crazed soldiers of the Swiss Imperial Empire.

At least you did not deny the Swiss invasion and occupation of Rome. If only the locals knew the true reason, the Swiss's plan to control the Pope, just as medieval kings tried to do (often successfully).

Also, as toxicTom said, I have more weapons than just the sheep. Isn't there a bunker buster bomb on Worms? Failing that, I have my trusty Holy Hand-grenade :-).

It's too late for that! Muhuahahahahah!
Say, is that a choir I'm hearing?

Enebias: Beware, you n00bs!
I talked a bit with the Pope about that Swiss matter, and His Sanctity decided to appoint me with the anguishing -yet necessary- task of solving the matter before the situation can degenerate. Beware, threacherous mercenaries and heretic Anglicans!
Having now received the blessing of the Church, I have access to some REAL explosive power... something that can puge the Earth from all evil - in the Grace of our Lord!
No simple banana or kamikaze nuke sheep can compare with this!

Edit: aaaargh, ninja'd! The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch is MINE!
When I played Worms 2 for the first time, I hadn't seen the Monty Python movie yet but in a way that made the experience even more fun. I was literally laughing tears at my first Holy Grenade explosion. You'll always lovingly remember your first one. Needless to say, the very next thing one tries and I'm sure everyone did is this:

Damn, ninja'd! I guess I will just have to use a good old crowbar to get in the bunker.

awalterj: And as I pointed out in another thread, I can safely retreat into an Alpine bunker with strong blast doors anytime...
I was about to say I could use the teleporter, but if I recall from this training video, it's not always accurate :-).

Always one step ahead to spoil your plans, even the girls plans plans!

And don't overestimate the crowbar (hubris of the Half-Life generation!), keep in mind how you have a crowbar in almost every point & click adventure game but sometimes you can't even use it to open puny regular doors, so you could chip at a blast door for all eternity and not get anywhere. This isn't the crumbly wall from Escape from Alcatraz where a simple stolen spoon can get you through.

It's risky business yes, I've lost a number of perfectly fine worms to elusive teleportation.

awalterj: ....
Okay, last try. If I fail here, I will just call it a day and let you stay in the bunker and eat so much chocolate they you can't get out of the blast door :-).

Three possible plans of action:
1. Pump poison gas into the bunker.
2. Flood the bunker with water.

And my main plan.

3. Wait until you retire and are no longer allowed in the bunker. Then begin my attack :-).

Oh, I totally overlooked this thread and haven't read it yet.

1. I may have very long hair, but I am definitely male due to my beard and ..... other stuff.
2. I'm in for $9.99, since most people I like already seem to have a vote from somebody.
[...]
5. I think I've annoyed enough people to count as "active" ;)

-----------
Q1. What are you top 3 favourite game genres and why?

Arena shooters, because it's a nice reaction game, I'm currently playing "MegaMan 8bit Deathmatch" again and recommend it to anyone. Quake 3 Arena and Unreal Tournament 2k4 are my all time favs.

Isometric RPGs, because it's like reading a book while actually being part of it. :)

Puzzle platformers, because I like Jump'n'Run and easy puzzles, sadly there is too much of this out there currently.
-----------
Q2. What are you top 3 worst game genres and why? (I'm interested to hear the ladies answer to this as well.)

Sports games. I hate watching sports and do not really like doing them virtually, one of the great things about sports is, that it makes you look better and stay healthy, which is not the case in a simulation.

Hidden object games, because I haven't got a selective perception at all and it's just wild clicking around.

Horror games, because I usually feel underpowered there. Give me a long stick and I don't need to have any fear in most situations. Playing some coward isn't much fun, although some of those games have nice design and puzzles.
-----------
Q3. If you enjoy playing as a woman in games, what is it about playing as a woman that appeals to you?

I don't play as a woman in games if I have the option.
My choices are like this:
Alien/fantasy creature > male human > female human
-----------
New Question:

Do you think, female characters in games should have their period/menstruation regularly due to more realism, more alternating stats and conversations or whatever?
I vote for "yes", because it's one of the (although not pleasant) core elements what makes a woman a woman. :P

BTW: I haven't forgotten your amulet, still working on other stuff, but I'll make something soon and post photos then.

I say "no". How many games have you played where you have to make your character go to the bathroom? Aside from life simulators like The Sims, I can't think of any. How many games have you played where a male character has gotten a boner at an inappropriate time and had to hide it? None. There's no need to incorporate the worst part about being a woman if you're not also adding the worst parts about being a man and/or a human being. And, why add these things in the first place? How would it enhance the narrative of a game? I just don't see the point. No offense.

For certain games there are mods for this. Yes, really..........

But NO. I don't think this would be a necessity to have :P Having the need to eat drink and sleep is a huge YES on my part, but even though I love realism in games, I don't want my female char to have their period... or even the need to visit the bathroom. I downloaded a bathroom mod for Oblivion. It was fun for 10 minutes then I uninstalled it, because it was annoying :D

On the other hand I played an NWN module where having period was a small part of the game. Some extra conversations and stuff. And that module was GREAT. But for the majority of games, just.... no.

Tallima: - Women are more "frail" than men; or, at least, that is how they can often be perceived. So if a woman rises to the occasion, it can be more emotionally triumpant than a male counterpart. For instance, Lara Croft would not work as a man. He'd just be a whiny nobody b/c we expect our male heroes to already by Navy SEALs. I think many men and women believe this lie until they live some life. From my experience, men and women are both badasses in their own ways -- and sometimes in the same ways. But sometimes perception is more important than reality.
Lol, true. A female hero that isn't afraid of tiny spiders is sometimes seen as strong enough, while the guys need to be able to beat up a dozen deathclaws WITH ONE FINGER. :D
Some games make fun of this and are doing a good job.

Trust me, people: compared to her, Stallone and Schwarzenegger *combined* are total wimps!
