PoSSeSSeDCoW: Honestly, I'm not sure that game looks like it's even worth the 10 cents. =P

The Live!Arcade version got quite good reviews.
edit: bansama, hmm now I feel guilty again. Valve may be rich but they also treat their customers well.
Then again, Valve enable the publishers to screw over international customers the way they do, so now I'm torn.
That's it, I'm destroying my computer and becoming a luddite. This is too much to process.

Really? That's a surprise. I guess I shouldn't judge games so quickly.
TBQH, I'd probably take advantage of it if
A) It was in my region
B) I had gotten screwed over on prices like those outside the NA region tend to be.
Actually, that's a lie, I'd take advantage of it even if it was in my region. =P

They might treat *some* of their customers well, but I've had them complete ignore problems with a broken game for over a year, while they still sold it knowing it was fully broken. After experiencing that and a few other things, I don't place them on a pedastal.
Incidentally, I was right about the pricing of that $13.33 game - everywhere else in the world, the base price is $10. Activision's international hilarity is a double-edged sword.

They're preemptively getting back at you.
Incidentally, according to my country's laws, I may have committed an illegal act. I remember a while back a petrol station made a mistake with their pricing, and those who took advantage of it were told that if they didn't seek to make reparations, they could be charged.
I can't remember the exact nature of the law, but it's something like if a reasonable person can see that a mistake has been made, then the purchase was not made in good faith, and is not valid.
So I want it on record that I am 100% happy for the transaction to be undone. :)

Really, that's essentially the opposite of how I understand it to be in the US.
They are obligated to sell you a product that they mislabel the price of.

Well now you have another game that possibly won't work. Had to send it to your gmail, it wouldn't find your user ID when I did a search. Hopefully you just get a code or I'm out nearly au15c!

So was it worth it, should it have been free? :D
I don't have time to play it at the moment, and I'm not going to install it until the dust settles and we see what's going to happen.
edit: possessed cow, our laws tend to have a lot of 'common-sense' caveats. The term 'reasonable person' is used quite a lot. It can lead to massive contention, as you can imagination. In fact, by sheer coincidence the government's currently looking at getting rid of the provocation defence for murder, purely because 'reasonable person' and 'murder' are basically impossible concepts to reconcile.

Yeah but in order for them to bring charges, they'd have to have the petrol as evidence, the "criminals" could just destroy the evidency by driving to the police station to turn themselves in
It's 7,49€ in my region, so disappointed.

It arrived just fine =) Downloading it now. I guess I should have just linked to my profile so for future reference (or just to add as a Friend), it's http://steamcommunity.com/id/mc
Note to others: If I don't know you, I won't accept invites.
Truth be told I'm not THAT big a fan of minigolf games, the live arcade demo was sort of fun but not worth the 800 ms points, now 10c on the other hand...

Really? As far as I can recall for the UK, if an item is priced incorrectly, or if there are two prices (ie, one on the product and one on the shelf and they both differ) the seller must honor the lower of the two prices.
Not sure how it works in Japan, but I'm fairly sure it's the same principle. But either way, transactions with Steam are covered under US law.
