chean: That reminds me of what a racist that Obi-Wan Kenobi was.
Star Wars is pretty racist yes, not only do they portray the sand people as undesirable, they also stereotype the snow people as being rather ugly.
Since I'm both South Asian and Swiss, I should feel double insulted.

I'd like to point out that I was not alone in derailing this thread so next time a certain forum member decides to start calling people out would you please have the common courtesy to not just single out one of us! :P

Just to derail the thread, but it is always funny find how there are completely opposite unwritten rules on different forums, and the oldies can't understand why it isn't automatically clear to everyone.

In another, non-gaming, forum where I sometimes hang around, there is a strict unwritten rule that before you write a question or open a new discussion about some subject, you must first search the forum if there ever was similar discussion already, even if it was years ago, and continue it. I think sometimes the moderators even lock the new discussion as obsolete, as it is overlapping the earlier discussions.

Here it seems mostly opposite, complaints about necro-threads etc. if you continue some old discussion about the subject. Here the new thread is considered obsole only if there is at the same time several new threads about the same subject.

I can understand the arguments for both practices, but I just find it interesting how there may be such opposite rules on forums. You'll just have to learn them the hard way, I guess.

tinyE: To be fair I there are some people here who actually like me. :D They are all severely mentally disturbed but I love them all the same.
Thank you! :-D

-Niri-: So, I haven't been a member here for very long, but I have been wondering what it is that makes the GOG community so much more...well...mature.

iippo: old games are selective. either youre old fart (with some level of maturity) or atleast not cod-adhd level teen.

these games are not very interesting for the more childish people, who rather troll steam / console forums.

just fine by me.
I'm actually 24, but old at heart.. I mean I shave with this for christ sakes, but I'm unshaved now cause I'm lazy..

Oooh and I hate COD, except for the old COD's

That actually isn't my razor I posted. I just posted a picture of a random straight razor.
I thought I might as well be the only person here who shaves the real way, nice to see that's not the case.
I have one Dovo and recently bought a Hart Steel one, and then I have a double edge one as well :)

YES I enjoy shaving, but I'm still generally too lazy to shave.

I guess I'm now starting to derail this thread myself..

iippo: Tool of trade - "bit" cheaper, but I do like it. Have to get proper razor sometime in the future though.

If you need a good professional shave you should use my barber. He's the best.

ps. Is that a Slaughterhouse V reference under your name?

Well due to the fact that GOG was the only store to sell so many old games for the longest time, GOG has attracted many people over the age of 25. People who were gamers since the early 90s. And GOG doesn't sell Call Of Duty games and Counterstrike games. :P

But it's not realistic to expect this community to be free of childish, immature and hateful behavior because this forum, like the Steam forums is made up of all kinds of people from all over the world. When you have all kinds of people from all over the world in one little space on the internet, there is going to be some friction. There is human nature and there is also the clash of different cultures, different upbringings, different personalities etc. For example, behavior you see as immature and childish is behavior that YOU see as immature and childish. That is why I don't get those people who want to leave this forum due to people pissing them off because where you going to run to? Every forum is going to have people who piss you off. The only forums I know off that won't have people who piss you off are really small forums with less than 100 people and all the members are your friends.

Thanks for your kind offer but my barber doesn't take it kindly if you leave him for another barber, I'd rather not make him angry..

And yes that is a Slaughterhouse V reference :)
