Hey GOG, I think the community would really be into a GOG awards thing. Even if you just make a short news post on the front page about this topic (although an actual poll would be awesome)
A full scale poll wouldn't be that hard to code, Basic webpage with the categories, dynamically populated listbox with all the GOG titles and a database entry for calculating the votes.
It'd additionally make it a lot easier to decide if I could see the entire list of games at once in a text only list
The best user one would be hardest to do, probably have to take nominations and select the 5 most nominated. I would apparently get at least 2 votes...

Script: Gothic
Gameplay: Gothic
Innovative: Fallout. Edit: Nevermind, forgot about Republic
Graphics tech: TOCA 3
Graphics creative: Feeble Files
Sound: Sands of Time
S/t: Descent!
Dev: Piranha Bytes
Publisher: Interplay
GOTY: Gothic
User: Weclock, cause he don't give a fuck
As you can see I really enjoyed/am enjoying Gothic. :P
Someone should gift the GOTY to someone who doesnt have it.

Keep in mind: you don't have to vote for every category and you can vote via just the awards' number and the name of what/who you're voting for. I.E:
1. Fallout
2. Hostile Waters etc.
Neat idea, this opportunity! When I saw BladderOfDoom's voting thread, I was like, "How cool it would be if there were such a thing for GOG games, too!" and here it is. Rep given for it.
That said... It's a tough decision, but I'll vote anyway, selecting one of the numerous contenders for every category :-).
1. Fallout 2
2. Sacred Gold
3. Sacrifice
4. Painkiller (BE)
5. Fallout
6. Painkiller (BE)
7. Jack Orlando
8-10. <no nominee>
11. Ralackk, for being ever present and helpful
1. Original War
2. UT 2k4
3. Original War
5. Simon the sorcerer 2 (love that hand-made graphics)
7. Heroes of M&M 3
10. Original War
11. Aliasalpha
