Klumpen0815: I was just speaking about average people and average people are neither noble nor empathic.
You'll forgive me, then, if I ask on what you are basing your conclusion. If it is only personal experience, then you might want to clarify that.
My avatar is female, and her favorite genres are sleeping in the sunshine, chasing the other dog around in mad circles, and treats.

Not sure about mine:

I'd love sims if I had the hardware to give them their proper due.

RPGs can be fun for me but my enthusiasm for them seems to peter-out once I learn the game mechanics and it turns into more-of-the-same.

I enjoy the isometric-shooter games I've tried.

FPS can be fun, so long as they don't take themselves too seriously. I lean toward SP like FarCry, or offline BF1942.

RTS is fun if they don't require mastery of build-lists and hotkeys in order to win.

Guess that means RTS, FPS, and iso-shooters like Alien Shooter (though I should try more of these to be certain). But sims are close to the top, only awaiting proper peripherals.

Crewdroog: However, for every dumb comment, you do get a nice one. When I first got my PS3 I bought a bunch of games like Borderlands 2, FO:NV, Skyrim and Dark Souls. When I checked out, the guy said in a very serious tone, "You just picked out the best games in this store" and fist bumped me. :)

sunshinecorp: Oh (wo)man! I'm so conflicted right now. As much as I love Borderlands 2 and New Vegas, I hate Dark Souls and (probably) Skyrim. Saying probably because I only liked the first Arena, and a bit of Daggerfall, but was sorely disappointed by the rest and never played Skyrim but it looks more of the same.
Dark Souls is still sitting on my shelf unplayed, as are many other games. I really dislike Skyrim when compared to it's predecessors. Skyrim I have often described as a pretty but hollow game. This has not stopped me from playing 500 hours of the f-ing game though. :)

Edit: And how can you not like Oblvion??? 0.o :)

It's a tough life being a gamer.

However, when I hear of the Elder Scrolls, I remember how much I loved Redguard. It's a very different game than the rest. I'm going to go see if it's on the community wishlist. It probably is, I probably have voted on it or added the wish myself and don't even remember. *sigh*

Because of the slow walk and that stupid, freaking journal!!! :)
What are you top 3 game genres and why?

Mine tend to vary depending on the system.

For computer my top three would be point and click adventure, puzzle, and action adventure.
----I am pretty open to try any game. I do not have the skill or the patience to get into Racing games.

When it comes to console games (which is normally my 3DS) I would have to say Adventure (which is hard to find a true adventure game for the DS) RPG, Action Platformer.

editing to add why in a few.. Basement flooded and taking a mini break from cleaning it up..

I know I should not feed the trolls but....Since I am female should I call someone to do it for me so I do not break a nail?

Briareos262: .....umm your avatar looks like a my little pony character. >_> I only know this because I used to work retail =P
My avatar is a My Little Pony character! Fluttershy is the manliest manliness that ever manlied!

Briareos262: I still stand by my statement that a good majority of guys wouldn't get the playful meaning of said topic title.
And I would stand by a statement that said that this is not necessarily the case, and quite likely not the case at all. :)

Klumpen0815: I just hate overpowered characters with as much personality as an amoeba. I always smile when Batman beats him again and again..
Batman beats up Superman (and other highly powerful heroes and villains) on a fairly regular basis.

Not considered overpowered.

Don't we have adventurers for basement quests? They want the easy XP rewards.

I do enjoy different games on console and PC. I just will not play platformers on the PC. Won't do it. Even with a controller. I much prefer RPGs on PC than console; they just play better (controls) and the graphics are better. I do enjoy racing games, but I am awful at them and derive more pleasure in creating phenomenal crashes than finishing the race. yeah, I'm that jerk that drives backwards :)

Hahahaha, yeah you should call someone, and then when he gets there, go make him a sandwich! Get back in that kitchen! I'm sorry about your basement, cleaning that sucks, especially moving everything :(

here's a pic of my nails :)

Crewdroog: here's a pic of my nails :)
I was wondering what a mighty warrior wearing pink bunny ears would use for weapons in Diablo. Now I Know, claws :-).

Sadly I have to have short nails, they get broken too easily when I'm at work. I'll just stick to the good old sword, axe, club or +1 mace for destroying my enemies.

hahaha, actually, the assassin is my favorite class in Diablo 2 :)

I have short nails as well. Mine just don't grow well and I am too lazy to bother trying. Besides, I garden and i hate getting dirt under my nails. And yeah, dual daggers and a bow for me :)
