Roman5: Alpha protocol definitely fits this criteria, these so called "Professional Reviewers" had no idea what they were talking about when they talked about this game, this is true for most other games as well

The real reason and point I stopped caring about "Reviews" was when they gave bad scores for Nier

Nier's a bad game? Yeah...Your Fucking Mom's a bad game
Nier is probably the best console only game that I think game out this generation... And Alpha Protocol as awesome as well.
AP was unpolished. it was not a smooth ride.
neither was Bloodlines, Arcanum, Fallout 1 and 2, STALKER, KOTOR 2...

which are the greatest games I've played. Especially Bloodlines and F2.

I want to know what happened to Sis :( it supposed to be DLC (a guess) but sega was retarded and didn't try to cash in.
TimeShift was really good, but didn't get good reviews.

grviper: Deadly Premonition aka Red Seeds Profile if you import from Japan. Twin Peaks: The Game. One third of the game is survival horror where you fight demons in the Other world, which takes over entire buildings. One third is campy dialogue and investigating among the weird people of a small American town (they even have a crazy pot lady). Oh, the main character has a split personality, by the way. The final third is playing darts, fishing, completing sidequests, such as teaching a local police lady how to cook.
I was going to say Deadly Premonition too :O
Mage Knight Apocalypse would fit this for me. I had fun with it.
Ultima IX Ascension.

Honestly, I still think it's the best Ultima out there. I absolutely loved the series after that. If it wasn't for the bugs, I think it would have definitely been one of the best games ever.

Being an action-adventure fan, I loved all the puzzles and exploration, and even the jumping sequences. Combine that with the magnificent music, story and atmosphere, I really don't understand why people reviewed the game so low, or why so many people hate it.

F1ach: I loved AP.

Other games that I love that were bad sellers :

Too Human, I really loved that game, but the strange controls put people off at the time, Once you got used to the controls you would wonder why more games didnt use them.

metro 2033, the games economics I think put people off, a survival horror shooter, where bullets were the games currency.

Clive Barkers Jericho, dunno why it flopped so bad, I loved the ability to switch characters and gamestyle. I think people hated the QTE's.

Far Cry 2, I loved that game and the gfx were very immersive, people hated the respawning checkpoints and the malaria thing, never really bothered me tbh, more checkpoints = more shooting, if you dont like shooting, why play a FPS?? The malaria was a plot point for missions/quests, but people hated it, dunno why.

Nroug7: I bought too human today as well, Even though i had a copy when i was younger (i destroyed all my games back then, didn't really care about them. Came to a point where i realised this stuff costs and i actually wanted to collect this stuff. So now im a gamer and a collector)

Also, Far cry 2 is brilliant, i love just sitting on a hillside, my vehicle parked next to me as i observe a camp for around 3 minutes, analyzing AI Movements and then taking out each person accordingly. It's not a game I'd recommend for casuals.

Metro 2033 im yet to get around to, I've got it of my bro (Basically, if he's got anything he finds too hard or doesn't care about and i find it, he will practically just give it to me, otherwise he would end up getting it all scratched up anyways and that is unacceptable.) but i have started it and enjoyed how the weapons handled, i dont really like the voice acting though, i guess it kind of irritates me because of the accent difference between countries. (And no, aussies aren't the rough tone of voice stereotype you've probably heard of.)
Go to the Too Human site and Wiki for good class builds, I really like Commando, I usually hate melee, but melee is awesome in TH as well, the way you can slide into targets etc.

As regards Metro, there will come a part where you are being escorted by a guy, you will enter a room with alot of gasmasks, when the cutscene ends, make sure to follow the guy, I died a few times there, because I didnt follow him. Also interacting with things in the environment affact your score in some way, I forget how though.
SimCity 4, low rating on Amazon but fun and addicting. :)

Yeah, the controls when i first played it were a big annoying for melee though, sometimes i would try to perform one move and end up executing something completely different. I guess it comes with practice though.

yeah, after a bit you are just ripping through stuff :)
Mount and Blade.
Its combat system is just so good, I don't care about any of its short coming in other aspect.

I love this game! I like that is has a realistic approach (as far as games go) and you're not just running around slinging fireballs or something. The combat is fun, though I shy away from projectiles - just don't have the patience. I just grab my sword and start swinging. And there's so many ways to approach things it's ridiculous.
Alpha Protocol is the main one for me too. Loved that game, a Splinter Cell RPG basically.

I would also say Darkest of Days. Really fun shooter with unique environments... not sure about the console version, but the PC one is solid.

And Risen, which got fucked for the same thing, a shitty console version.

Warband!
Might and Magic 8. I recall it got some pretty horrible scores, but I found it to be an enjoyable, albeit half-complete (at most), game. Sure, it wasn't as complex as MM7 (or even MM6), and a number of balancing issues and bugs stayed in the game, but overall, I did have fun playing it through - it just made me wonder how much better if could have been, were the developers given enough time to finish it.
