Uzur9: Just tried one of my codes and same thing expired. That sucks but at least we got to give out some codes before then. Makes me happy.
That sucks big time, I'd have expected for the codes to work at least until the end of the month when the rights go to Bethesda. I didn't have the chance to spread the love.
Crud.
I had hoped to make some giveaways when the games gets pulled from gog, but that is not possible now ;p
Fair enough, this do prevent abuse from those who had hoped to sell the codes for own gain.

There should be a fine print when you purchase a gift, if the code expire sometime in the future, IMO.

Well this is very disappointing... I got a load of keys with the intention of handing them out to friends that missed the giveaway & anyone I encounter that doesn't already have a GOG account. Just tried giving a key to one of my friends who hasn't been online for a while to discover they aren't working any more :/ Oh well...
Sigh - only snagged one extra and should have gifted it earlier - oh well :-(
Ok, just did some testing.

First, Fallout free gifts don't work, even when they were part of a paying order.
Second, old freebies still work, I tried torchlight and even the couple Duke Nukem 3D from last year. So my torchlight giveaway is still in effect.

Tallima: If anyone would like to send me a Torchlight code (or a few), I'll add them to the Treasure Hunt RPG Giveaway that I'm building.

http://www.gog.com/forum/general/request_for_donations_of_gog_codes_for_treasure_hunt_rpg

I don't need any more Fallout codes :D
Fallout codes expired - what a bummer for the Treasure Hunt RPG game :(
Well shazbot. What happens to the remaining keys on one's giftlist? Do they just remain, mockingly sent but never redeemed?

Well that is good news - but already gifted my one Torchlight code a while back.

Anyone try the Realms of Arkania freebie?

Still works, but as it was a bonus code, not a gift code, it has an expiration date. October 30 2014 to be exact.

Since they are tagged as "expired", hopefully the system will flush them eventually. And long-timers here have old expired codes in their gift lists?

Grrr, GOGBears hungry, they eat post. Posting again to keep them fed.

These are the first gift codes to expire, so there are no long timers with expired codes in their gift lists. Support will probably remove them, but it is (obviously) a low priority job.
The phrase "Proper fucked" comes to mind :(
Well, there goes 5 extra gifts of the fallout trilogy.. -_-

So long for giving a few away and trading. lol

Ohh well.
