This sort of sounds like the legal equivelent of NMA style fanboy ravings (up to and including the statement about NMA at the end of the first link). The post on Bluesnews where I found this describe it as being "from an Interplay investor, who outlines the current state of the legal tussle between Bethesda and Interplay over rights to the Fallout series. The posts, obviously a bit biased towards Interplay"

The second link is just an extra paragraph that didn't seem to fit in the original post but it's worth reading for a bit of a laugh and the definite interplay bias.
I hate myself for saying this but I hope Bethseda fuck Interplay. The Interplay we all know and love is long dead. All Interplay is now is an IP squatter. The very fact they went into the deal with Bethesda hoping to ride their coat trail speaks volumes.
At least the posts that deal with a bias towards Interplay is somewhat clear and rational, unlike those idiots that claim that Bungie is the best company EVARRRRRRRRRR.
Anyway. What Interplay is basically saying is that they raised the money for the MMO, and also that they were making it on time (Interplay games... on time?). But what I don't get is this: where is the MMO? The investor guy says that they did everything by April 2009, but I have seen nothing about this MMO that hints to so much as a beta.
Is it wrong that the first thing I thought of when you said NMA was "What does the National Medical Association have to do with Fallout?"

Obviously playing too much Fallout can cause headaches, nausea, and ED.
I'm absolutely flabbergasted
all you have to do is check out every magazine and website that posted that Interplay is being sued to see how Bethesda hurt Interplay's name with all this.LINK:
Bethesda hurt interplay's name? Did interplay have enough name left to get hurt

I am a Bethesda fanboy now days, interplay is long gone in my eyes. Much like blizzard, used to love them but now I dont lol
I only ever liked Morrowind, I can't get into dagger fall, and as much as I've gotten into fallout 1, fallout 2 is unplayable for me (I keep rolling bad characters and can't get thru the start).
but regardless, what bethesda did was wrong, telling gametap that interplay doesn't have the rights, when they clearly do.
I hope bethesda dies and they take id and Zenimax with 'em.
I hope Interplay wins, if only because I don't want Bethesda to waste time on Fallout when they could be making TES-games.

So you're not excited for RAGE? That game looks awesome! I would never kill id. I went to QuakeCon this year, and the dedication fans have to that company and their games is amazing. Plus, I like how they're re-releasing all their old classics on the iPod Touch and iPhone.

They announced having just signed a developer for the title after the deadline they had agreed to with Bethesda. That wasn't a deadline for having started work on it either, but rather full scale development. So basically this investor is bullshitting and even Interplay have effectively shown it up for the bullshit it is.

It may not be the old interplay, but it isn't the old bethesda either.
These companies (as for most) care far more about themselves and their profits than anything else. I really believe they couldn't give a sh*t about ordinary gamers.
Let them squabble, let it bring ruin upon one or both of them.
They don't deserve my support.

They don't make things I'm interested in so I'm abit out of touch but what games HAVE iD made lately? Not to suggest that they're 3D Realms or anything since there's at least some evidence to suggest that they employ computer programmers but aside from mention of RAGE (which I apparently mis-understood to be an engine rather than a game), I've not heard anything that wasn't "Doom/Quake coming soon to Device X" and even if I COULD afford the fabled Device X I'd never be playing a second rate brainless FPS on one.
Frankly their acquisition came as something of a surprise because I thought they were fading away

I'm not excited for Rage and I don't have an iPhone so I don't care.

Agreed. I loved Interplay and I had some respect for Bethesda, but there is nothing charming that I could say about those 2 today.
So at least in this case I drop any fanboy agenda and await a fair and just result for the guilty ... muahaha!!
