Fallout sereies: High profile games with a recent sequel, core of most GOG ads, DRM free, cheap and with shitloads of extras
Hmm, I think we have a mystery gang!
As far as fallout goes, enjoy or don't enjoy fallout 1 and 2, but don't completely hate on them because they aren't fallout 3, show respect because without fallout 1 and 2, there wouldn't be fallout 3.
there'd be borderlands.

sk8ing667: Hmm...as far as fallout 3 being "epic" each to his own I suppose.

Virama: Okay, valid point there, but I do have to say I avoided FO3 until some friends started raving about it... So I asked questions and liked what I heard then got it... And I have to say, the style, presentation and gameplay were superb. Thus = epic. How many games give you such a RPG style shootout rush?
Very well done IMO.

In my opinion.
Style- The style is done well, as this is the section I would include the graphics in. Spooky environment, great visuals, although the textures lacked...a lot.
Presentation- Basically the same as style
Gameplay- All the importance of a game. However, Fallout 3 fell way short. Bad characters, dialog, broken gameplay mechanics (I shouldn't be able to spew off scientific know-how of pre-war technology even with 10 science if my intelligence is 3.), horrible voice acting, and the story is not coherent to the original fallouts (how did Harold end up in D.C.?)
As for the combat you enjoy, its watered down, easy, and mindless. I could go through the game without a single bit of challenge.

After the Interplay special, I think that most people here who wanted those games now has them. I'm amazed that Fallout is number 10, to be honest. It just goes to show that GOG keeps on bringing in more customers.
Yeah, they've been there for a while and I'm not surprised that they're not in the top 10.
I think it's cool that some other awesome games are getting some of the glory :D

I find that HEAPS of gamers automatically give a game less "score" if the sounds awful. I wouldn't know. (Sorry if people get tired of me repeating that I'm Deaf, but it just prevents people going WTF later on)
Did you play the game on "easy"??? I never EVER do that. Either Normal or Hard is always the way to go for me (Never "Impossible" - I like to HAVE a PC instead of a smashed up hunk of metal *grins*)
And one thing you're forgetting about the Intelligence of 3 thing - that's THEIR world, they lived in that little shelter all their lives, of course they would get these things drilled into their heads endlessly. True, the scope is a little limited IN GAME but you can just imagine they would have had some kind of DVD system with a few movies they watched endlessly over and over. ETC.
*shrugs*
I used to be the biggest cynic about realism and stuff but now I've started to become more of a "try to see it from the GAME'S perspective instead of mine". Remember we're slowly becoming oversaturated in games. So it's easy to make an error in assumption that they would be catering for US.
If you get what I mean?
Anyway my point is: for ME, not hearing the "godawful dialogue and shitty sound effects" - the graphics and mood of the game are beautiful. And I have a computer that can BARELY play FO3 - all settings on extreme low - and I have to say it's gobsmackingly beautiful that game. Respec'.

On thr vanilla game I played through on highest difficulity and never had an issue. I needed mods to make it hard enough.
Bad story dialog and sound is a deal breaker for me.
Argh, I've edited and reedited my last post - it keeps fucking around with me. I am NOT quoting MYSELF up there...
Grr.

The first line probably says [.q.u.o.t.e._.1.3.] (except all the dots, I added them so that it wouldn't try to interpret the code), edit it to say [.q.u.o.t.e._.1.8.] instead, the number (13 or 18, in this case) is what decides which post is quoted, (sk8in667's post, that the text comes from, is post 18, but the linked post is 13).
Also check if there are too many [.q.u.o.t.e.] (with or without _ and number - start quote) or [./.q.u.o.t.e.] (end quote, never any _ or number) (as before, remove dots)
Here's what you're looking for, except the actual text:

I'm no noob at forums but thanks for spending that time typing that out for me. I just couldn't be fucked to correct it after it played around with me for the fourth time.
wow the incredible machine SHOT to the top of the charts.
Does GOG release there sales infomation? I think i would be realy interesting to see how much money they have made off of the more popular games e.g. The Fallout games.
Makes me wonder..

AFAIK no digital distribution service ever released their sales number, I don't know why but it's a closely guarded secret.

Well, der, that makes sense.
How much do you make a week Catshade? And you kais246? C'mon, spill the beans.
Not to mention the fact that they're probably making tens, if not hundreds of thousands of dollars by now - it's just common business sense. No business I know except franchises tell the world how much they make.
