i've never seen fallout as low on the bestseller list as this. in fact, until the last few weeks it was rare to see it out of the top three, and fallout 2 isn't even on there anymore.
i think this was gog's staple product for a long time. it even headlines most of their ads. i wonder if they've simply supplied it to everyone that wanted it.
It can only be the best seller for so long until everyone has it. :)
I did my part and own all 3 on GOG (4th time I've purchased them)
With all the new GOGs coming out people rush to buy those instead...
plus th awesome sales that they have had of late
Just look at the composition of the current top 10.
The top four are recent big hits, and the others are, as BladderOfDoom stated, games from the latest grandious promos.

I imagine the Fallout games would probably have been among the first purchases for most GOG users.
It's probably no co-incidence that 5 out of the current top 6 are turn based tactical, fantasy or strategy games... probably being bought by the people who jumped at Fallout in the first place.
Also, 4 of those 5 are fantastic compendium/bundle deals, which are too good for anyone to pass up. They definitely deserve to be up there!

besides it used to be that the fallout games where pretty much the best games on here (i know opinon comes into that but i reckon alot of people held that view) and now they have a fair few more high class games and alot more of them. Its not surprising that fallout is going to share a little less of the pie.
Still it is a testament to the game that it has sold so solidly for so long.

This is pretty much it. I initially came to GoG for Colin McRae 2005, and returned for good when the Might and Magic set came out. A while ago GoG was essentially the place where you bought Fallout and maybe a couple other impulse buys, but now it's got enough legitimately great games to bring in people who might not care about Fallout (though I recognize its greatness I can't say it does much for me).
I know people will hate me for this, but I've TRIED and TRIED to get into the Fallout series... Just couldn't. I hated them. Then Fallout 3 came out, and THAT was heavenly. *shrug*
And no, I didn't buy them on GoG. I've bought about ten other games/bundles though.

BURN THIS HEATHEN!!!!11
I kid. I like Fallout, and it's truly fantastic, but I can never understand the devout adoration of its fans.

Yeah I will have to try it again sometime, maybe on GoG seeing as how they've fixed the bugs and stuff for running it. Fallout 3 was so fucking epic I just have to go back and see how they could have come up with this etc...
Hmm...as far as fallout 3 being "epic" each to his own I suppose.
The truth of the matter I believe is that fallout is now readily avaliabke from many different places, while many other games on this site are more exclusive.

Okay, valid point there, but I do have to say I avoided FO3 until some friends started raving about it... So I asked questions and liked what I heard then got it... And I have to say, the style, presentation and gameplay were superb. Thus = epic. How many games give you such a RPG style shootout rush?
Very well done IMO.

Spot on. I take this as a sign that GOG's catalog as a whole is becoming much stronger and drawing in a larger and more diverse group, which can only really be a good thing as it means great success for GOG and thus more good old games at great prices for us.
To me, the fact that Fallout 1+2 headed the best selling games list for so long is interesting, because it indicates that new users have been flocking to GOG in a steady stream ever since the beginning of the service.
