So I'm reading about upcoming movies this spring/summer and I come across this movie, The Expendables... team of mercenaries, sent to some foreign country to do the impossible, they get betrayed, then its time for revenge (the loud explodey kind). Yawn! This sounds just like The Losers.. no, I mean the A-Team... okay maybe both of them.
Then I reach the list of cast members:
Sylvester Stallone!
Jason Statham!
Jet Li!
Dolph Lundgren!?
Randy Couture!
Eric Roberts?
Steve Austin!
Mickey Rourke!
and cameos by:
Bruce Willis!!
Arnold Schwarzenegger!!
Its like an action movie orgasm! How the hell did they get all those egos into one film? The only person missing is Jean Claude Van Damme (and for all I know, he also has a cameo). I'm sure the movie itself will suck giant donkey balls, but to see all that in one film, no matter how bad, might just be worth the price of admission.
Trailer goodness!

And Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock.

Cambrey: And Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock.

And (as my wife just reminded me) Steven Seagal.
All I ask is that the film is entertaining. I don't give a flying **** about the plot making sense. I want all of those people and explosions. That is all.
Wesley Snipes. Your turn.

Chuck Norris. I win.
Bolo Yeung (who is supposed to fight against JCVD in an exhibition combat).
Well, we have the casting ready for The expendables 2.
Also :
- Jackie Chan (with James Bond style armed/armoured wheelchair)
- Vin Diesel
- Michael Jai White
- Sam Worthington
- Samuel L Jackson
- Viggo Mortensen
Ahahahaha! This may suck sweaty balls, but damn! I'm gonna go watch it anyway.
Wesley snipes is in Jail
They asked Segal for a cameo, but he turned it down (dunno why)
Jean claude is doing some fight in the future so he didn't want to make commitments. (well, that is what I heard

No love for Mario Van Peebles? Probably should add Adrian Paul as well. What those two don't know about low budget action movies isn't worth knowing.
I had all the symptoms of a Sonic Attack [Thanks to Moorcock and Hawkwind] when i first saw the trailer. Can't wait for it to hit the cinemas. ;)
About time! There hasn't been a proper mindless 80s action movie since... the 80s.

I wondered why they call it an 80s action movie. Now I know.
One last hurrah for the 80's action movie? Hell yeah!
