We have come at last to Day Seven of the contest; the final and most unpredictable hours has now began. At the time I post this, the contest is set to close in approximately 26 hours, on 10:00 GMT tomorrow.
Predictions for these final times are all over the place. We are currently at 58 participants after a record-smashing 16 entries yesterday and another 4 entries since local-time midnight. The lower-end predictions puts us at 70-80 entries by the time the competition closes, the high-end arrives between 80-100, and the very unrealistic extreme-end would give us hundreds of entries. The lower-end is certainly the most probable, based on the amount of entries-over-time we have had so far.
Meanwhile, I would like to write a bit about how we will be judging the entries. Clearly, I have neither the right or qualifications to judge them all by myself. My first thought was to create a public poll that would allow members to vote on their favourite entries, the problem is of course that such polls are rather notorious in this day and age. They quickly boil down to who you know, and not what you do, and is therefore not the best choice for a creativity contest.
Rather, I will gather with three of my friends, the four of us will form a non-partisan, non-prejudiced jury that will judge the entries and announce the winners through me. Participants who have asked me to keep their entries private need not worry - the jury will not have access to those contributions. That's not to say you can't win; I will personally review those entries, and see if some of them can be granted awards. All other entries will be judged by the jury, and will win only by major vote.
I will do a "meet the jury" section tomorrow in the winners thread that will be created when the entry-period closes. I think you folks are gonna like them. ;)
wang12345: Just sent in my entry, this is really generous of you.
Thanks, but I can't see I have received a entry from you. Perhaps you could try to re-send?
