Howdy folks, and thank you all for the kind words! I will be doing daily roundups and statistics as the competition progresses, so keep an eye on the opening post, as it is going to be updated from day to day. We have had 4 entries so far, and I think that's a good start for Day One. I expect we will see more entries later on, especially in the weekend. My estimates put the final number at anywhere between fifty and a hundred, but we'll see what reality makes of it.

Now, to answer a few questions:

Fantasysci5: If it's okay to ask, what job do you have to be able to afford all this?
I work as something of a freelancer. Currently, I'm helping out at a hospital in the city, and run a small-time baking service for friends, relatives and folks around town. The reason I can afford to finance a contest like this, is only that I have been saving up for it for the last few months, ever since the community Q&A event back in March.
The idea is to put the launch of The Witcher 2 as much as possible in the hands of this community, and I thought a creativity contest could be a fun and interesting way to do just that. ;)

Do I write a heartfelt biography? Poetry? Fanfiction (lol)?
Essentially, anything you like. Just have fun! :)

The competition is now entering its third day. We had another four participants yesterday, which is a bit less than anticipated. I'm not worried though, there are still at least five days left before The Witcher 2 enters preload, and a lot can happen in that time. Also, as you all know by now, this forum will finally get its own integrated PM service later today, and we'll be switching to that as soon as its available. Any entries before then can still use GOG PM.

Oh, about GOG PM: I think we all agree that Barefoot_Monkey deserves an award himself for the excellent service he made for us. I will see to it that he will be the first to recieve a free preload copy of The Witcher 2 on May 10th, along with an additional 20$ worth of games on GOG. I think that's the least I can do for him, as a way of saying "thank you for making and hosting GOG PM!" :)

Wow, that's a wonderful surprise :D Thank you so much, Skystrider - it's very generous of you. Now I can't wait for the 10th to arrive.

Credit goes to xyem for hosting though. In February I needed to find a new webhost for GogPM and xyem kindly offered to put it on his server, where it has been running ever since.

So how does one enter?


Cuz I want this game.....like REALLY WANT IT. Like i'd do nearly anything to get it........OMG I wish I could have it!!!!!

It is the fourth day of the competition and things are really starting to move! Yesterday, we had no less than 13 new participants, bumping the total from yesterday's 8 up to today's 21. A massive increase from the first two days. And there's not just quantity either, but the quality has increased as well; there is some truly amazing creative stuff coming trough. What this means is that I can finally start to sort trough the data in a more meaningful manner. And there's still at least four days to go! Things are starting to look Epic indeed!

We are also joined by the community over at the official Witcher forums, so welcome to them, and thank you one and all from both communities for your contributions!
