Delixe: Gameplay trailer here
Awesome! Thanks for the link!

Can't wait really, I am planning to make the same char like the guy from the video. Warrior type, Nord. He is going to use no magic, only 2H swords and bows, may be a shield too.
I'm interested in this. I really hope they have more factions and side quests than Oblivion. I do like the idea that you don't select a class, but your class gets defined as you play based on how you play as well.
I just saw a Gamstop ad on Justin.tv that seemed to indicate a paper map for Skyrim is a Gamestop exclusive. That would... irritate me.

Leifern: Well.. There goes another 300 hours..
I'm going to wait till it's out but really hoping it will be more like Morrowind than Oblivion. That said, I sunk about 300h into Morrowind...

On other note - loving your nick. Long live Blade Runner :)

@StingingVelvet
What?! So we're moving on from DLCs being retailer-specific onto shifting package content. Next we hear will be that Gamestop is getting the map only, Amazon gets the tutorial and Game gets the DVD box...

Yeah, and while I can ignore bonus items and such I don't think my collector mindset could ignore physical goodies. I would have to give Gamestop money, which I do NOT want to do.

Yeah, same here. I miss the times when Collectors Edition meant *the ultimate* edition of the game. Now you are just getting f-ed by exclusive deals and meaning of CEs is lost. Still buying them though as I collect games as well...

See, I don't mind shop adding freebies on top of CE but having actual contents of it determined by the deal retailer managed to secure... makes me sad.

I didn't see any rain, fog looked great and snow was awful. That 'dynamic' snow stuff basically paints surfaces white, it looks ok on rocks but awful on anything flat - it doesn't build up, just paints. I saw a player next to me climb a wooden fort, relatively 'new' by the looks of it, with nice flat walls, floors and a well made staircase - it was in the mountains so there was snow everywhere. Now, snow had come in and basically covered the place with white - the floors were just solid white, no texture at all - the cracks between the floor boards were just about visible as there was only a smattering on 'snow' in them, so it gave this really ugly look - go onto MS Paint, put a Jpeg image in and fill any part of it white with the bucket tool; see all those rough pixels? that's what it looked like between the cracks.
>The person playing was actually so taken aback by it that he called over a Beth staff member to ask about it, the staff guy was like 'no, thats not a missing texture, its snow' and the guy playing said how awful and flat it looked and the beth staff guy gave his awkward stock response of "oh, it's a bug - it'll get fixed in the final build".

Underwater is a lot like Fallout, but worse to be honest. You know how in Fallout you can rest the camer directly on water level and see everything clear as day underwater, but if you go under there's a green tint? Exactly like that in this; although the shift is actually more noticeable, that 'clear as day' thing is visible every single time you dive, looks incredibly ugly - I just hope thats one thing they're workig on still. On the surface the water looks good, but the ripples are the exact same as in Fallout. At one point I also saw the 'shimmering' from the sun pop in on the water, as though it's a texture.

I watched one play walk up to a deer in the wilderness, the player got out his axe and hacked at it's face; the deer did absolutely nothing and stood there until it died. Similarly another player cast a flamethrower on a chicken in Riverwood which did nothing until it flopped down dead.

Physics are similar to Oblivion, on player was shooting arrows at a cart full of cabbages and each one went flying with each shot, easily flying higher than the surrounding buildings (Riverwood).

Mountains, sadly, DO guide the player. On my first play, I tried to turn around and head back past the start point and head North East - hit a bunch of unclimbable rocks and tried pushing around them. Before I knew it, I was entering Riverwood from the back on accident; totally unintentionally.

When standing on a high up rock, I noticed that models in the distance are very low poly and the ground had very noticable repeated textures.

The demo actually locked up on me once, I was attacking some people in an inn; as I turned to get out the door, I was stuck in an infinite load loop and a Bethesda staff member had to reset the console.

Some very random framerate drops, saw one player walking for like 20 seconds at what looked like 5fps.

Encountered a bug where every button made me dismount the horse.

You level fast: Saw someone get 3/4 of the way through level 3 during the 15 min demo.

Some pretty bad pop-in - saw the water wheel in Riverwood load in completely when I stood next to it. Also shows that water isn't dynamic, it's animated around the wheel.

Killed a shopkeeper, went into a nearby inn (sword was still drawn), everyone inside attacked me - calling me a murderer. So I guess it was less about the drawn sword, and more about the murder they somehow know about from next door.

I see those as positives.

Relic were the only developer recently to release a proper collectors edition and that was Dawn of War 2: Retribution. There were retailer bonuses but the collectors edition had all of them. Unfortunately the most recent release Space Marine has the same store exclusive BS so it looks like even Relic is doing it now.

Roman5: ...shitload of shit...
wow, I think I'll stick to Morrowind with the MGSO mod (and some others). Might buy it when the GOTY version inevitably comes out and when modders add in some fun stuff, that should have been in there in the first place (hopefully).

I'll bet you can get them as DLC at some point:)

Yeah it sucks, I don't normally care that much but for the Batman suits I do care. It doesn't look like Amazon.com has one at all, but I want all of them, makes me sad...
I was so looking forward to this but seeing what al is out and everything else i feel like it is a very dumbed down game sigh. If companys are not going to make a proper rpg then give up. Morrowind was close to perfect from a rpg stand point that gave you the freedom of choce to do what you want and experiment on how to play skills.

This game sounds more like fallout 3 with snow bugger.

Ill still get it as at least the mod community can produce some amazing mods and makes games more playable.
Most of those removals are no big deal honestly. The main thing that bugs me is health regen... gonna have to read up on how exactly that works.

My main concerns are better writing and quest design. New Vegas showed that the Bethesda formula married with good writing and good quest design can be amazing. I want Bethesda themselves to execute on that now.
