orcishgamer: Kinect is awesome, sorry you don't think so but mine gets used frequently.
I know the technology is awesome. I just have no interest in the stupid Kinect games. Best for me to wait until the end of the show and just read up on what has been announced.

Given the enormously wide variety of Kinect games by now, how can none of it be of any interest to you? Surely there's something in there that seems intriguing, Haunt, Dance Central, Rise of Nightmares, Kinectimals, Child of Eden, Leedmees, Steel Battalion... nothing out of that list looks even the least bit intriguing to you?

They don't allow for the freedom of movement. Take Star Wars Kinect as an example. Or Fable The Journey (which was announced few hours ago). I can never play a game in which my character moves only forward.

Umm, tons of games only allow you to move "forward". Just because you push on the stick to make it go doesn't mean you get any choice in the direction. I have to check the latest Fable The Journey videos but they keep claiming "it's not on rails", at least, we'll see though.

As someone who plays a huge variety of games, I would only try Child of Eden. And thats it. I'm not even interested in it, but I'd try it. So I'm with Elenarie on this one.

Okay, let's take that Rise of Nightmares game. Since Kinect's purpose is to sense motion, what if I want to kick something behind me, jump backwards and turn around at the same time, run from side to side, and do similar things?

Keyboard and mouse don't give you the illusion that you're chained to use only certain gestures.
