The twisted thing is, and this is true, last week my uncle was hospitalized for drinking 100 proof vodka which I didn't even know you could legally get.

Well, I am sorry to hear about your uncle.

I'm glad then, for his sake, that he didn't get taken to that hospital. I've got a feeling having an actual IV of Vodka, at any proof, would probably be bad for one's health.

How do people even know this? Do you check your number constantly incase it changes? Or is there some hidden page that tells you if you are on Santas naughty list and therefore won't get any presents?

I really don't think anyone is so worried about it that they're checking constantly (but could be wrong). In my case I just happened to notice that I was getting close to 300 a couple of days ago, so I've been checking every now and then to see if I got there.

But who knows, maybe I won't, and if I don't, it won't bother me. But anyway, that's the only reason I noticed. Probably with others is something similar. They happen to catch it at the right time to notice it had gone down.

The solution: stop giving a fuck about rep.

Rep is just a popularity contest, I've learned that its best just to ignore it a long time a go.

My guess is that it's not a person who is doing this, but most probably a script; doing it by hand is just way too much effort. The more we talk about this, the more validation it gives to the troll, really.

I would agree, except for that fact that many giveaways have a minimum rep as a requirement to enter.

It seems to me if someone is relatively new to gog, sees these requirements but can't enter, and sees his/her own rep go down so that they still can't enter, might not be the best way to welcome new people to the gog forums. Especially since I can tell anyone from my own experience how truly awesome the folks are here.

I don't really care about it, never really paid attention to it, but if someone else does, and it affects their attitude toward the folks here at gog dot com, well, I guess I would care a little about that if those persons then spread such a negative around the internets. Not saying I would lose sleep over it, but it would bother me some if gog started getting a bad rep for too much bad rep. LOL
