Yeah, I was literally so shitty at this I couldn't get past the first part. I tried to lower the difficulty but actually didn't know which difficulty was lowest since the names were obscure and the interface didn't communicate this with a vertical list or anything, you could just keep cycling through the list of options by pressing left OR right, if you just did one the list never "ended" on the maximum or minimum difficulty, it just kept cycling 5. I mean, I get that "mob boss" is probably a hard difficulty, but what the fuck is "don"? Is that hard or easy? Is it harder than my current setting, "mobster" (or some shit)? I don't know.

So yeah, I'm a bit put off. The demo for the first game never impressed me and I only played this demo since it looked like they'd amped up the profile of the sequel (and I was hoping the production values). The concept sounds cool, the execution seems somewhat unimpressive if they can't even get the user interface in the demo to not be frustrating.
I liked the first game quite a bit actually. It gets frustrating later on because it's never absolutely clear what to do if you forget, but the shooting and darkness mechanics are still really solid. I want to get the second game as well, but I can't try the demo yet as I'm at my home for schooling instead of my home for living, and family didn't want to split consoles except for an NES

360 has the exclusive early demo for a week or two, it should be available on other platforms later.
I really liked the first game, and I beat the demo for The Darkness 2 at PAX and I loved it personally. It's not for everyone but it certainly was fun.
I was not impressed at all by the first game but I have to admit that The sequel so far looks very good, a lot of interesting concepts and game mechanics

When I get my hands on it - I'll let you people know my thoughts

Don Vito Corleone should give you a hint of how badass you must be to play "Don" dificulty. ;)

I'm kind of ignorant of the whole Godfather thing, or mobster fiction in general. I know "don" is a title, I just don't have any recollection if that means "big pimpin daddy" or "mid level asskisser".

Highest of the high
In the previous one don was like the hardest difficulty. Damn I need to connect internet to my 360 or ps3 to check the demo.

It usually means "Unrefusable offer maker" . Or "Screw with me and you're dead screwed". :P

Ok, so far the reviews seem solid but how many people actually played it? how is it?

One of the biggest things that bothers me that peopler said so far: is the short length of the game, does it have any replay value?

If anyone played the game: Let us know, because it looked awesome in the trailers
