Wesker: The hint is, I think, quite easy to decipher.
Do not look at the picture if you loath spoilers ;)
I have but one thing to say to GOG:
THANK YOU!

Awesome! :D

LordCinnamon: I wouldn't really rate Fable as a ' current' title.

But it is. Fable 2 was released in 2008 so it's an on going Franchise.
It would make sense that it's EA. Maybe they are only testing the water by just releasing the Ultima games for now to see how well they sell but for GOG to announce it as the most important thing since the site opened well come on that would be EA. When it comes to classic PC games that have difficulty running on modern OS's they are pretty much the motherload.
nev'mind, found it

xxxIndyxxx: I must say.... i think you are right...or ... are they messing with us...who knows...good find though.

Troika alone would not make the biggest announcement since the launch of GOG.

Agreed, plus it would mean Activision/Blizzard and I just don't see that happening. I could be wrong, it was a nice catch.

All their games save for one wound up with Activision. Who are definitely one of the big three. That could be it alright.

This may be either a real spoiler or a complete red herring, but who published Troika's best-selling game, “Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura”? Given that, who now has the rights for it?

LordCinnamon: What's the link between Karmic awareness and Ultima?

Well, Ultimas were mostly about the moral dilemmas, even the character creation was based on questions of such matter. That's karmic awareness for me. ;)

MrDOS: Sierra... I'm thinking the same thing
Maybe the thing is that they got the rights for just the Sierra games...

Sierra, I believe.
That'd be cool.

I really hope you're right dude.... its something i've been barking about here for ages !!! insta buys all round :D
It would be a terribly unfortunate coincidence if you're not right on the money there... though i suppose stranger things have happened. I'll be keeping a close eye on the timer :)

I'm not convinced, but it's still an interesting guess. My problem with it is that while the developer in question is certainly loved by some gamers (me included!), it's hardly a Big Name even within the genre, and thus I'm not sure it would warrant such a massive teaser campaign from GOG's side.

Interesting .... that also might imply activision, which would be a surprise.
