I don't think a pat on the back will cure a 'sploded head.
lol

I usually do that... when it's about a page long or when it's entertaining to do so if longer. But who has the time to read 33 pages? It's just plain easier to type "I hope it's EA".
I'm also worried that the expectation will kill the surprise. It could very well be Microsoft and though welcome and pun worthy, it's not exactly on the top of people's minds.

That's what I think, too; and that's why I took a much more stoic disposition towards this announcement. This way, at least I won't be disppointed.

That is what the search function is for :P
Still, if this was any other forum, i wouldn't be suprised if we had about 4-5 different threads on the count down

I still say it's Daikatana!
Hell, 44 pages already?!

Mikee: Tommorow I'll disscuss with team how much further we can go with clues;-)

Great Mikee, tease us more, please? :D

I'm going to say it is the old TSR/SSI Forgotten Realms series. Ahh the memories.
In that case we need a patient person, to sum up ALL the ideas posted before Mikee wrote we've already got it. Then make a little statistic of it, that would show how many times a certain idea was mentioned. And then do a similar job with a few pages before Mikee said we're close/hot [that recent one]. Then compare the newer ideas, to the old ones, and see what filters out. Good luck!:P

We have had at least three different threads on the countdown - the creators of other two have just been told off for thread duping and pointed here.

We'll be giving some hints about the big announcement on Twitter, Facebook and GOG forums soon :)

Whatever it will be it will be good. though i think might be Deus ex not sure though who holds the Licence for it though.
If it is EA with their back catalogue we would have a great supply of games to look forward too (including i hope the bullfrog games) Even the original syndicate or populos would be an instant purchase for me.

I have a suggestion for the gog team, once the new and probably very big publisher is announced be sure to send press releases all over the place, specially if the game you are releasing has never been in a digital download service before. That way gog.com will be promoted even more. Just a though.

I suggested that but no one volunteered (even if the post saying we already got it was on page 15). Skimming around I noticed Microsoft suggestions ("unexcelled" pun relevant), EA suggestions with specific games, Mac compatibility and other services (beta ending, improved interface, etc). System Shock 2 and EA is what most people want therefore it's the most obvious and because of that, probably not it. Then again, it could be EA combined with something else, and that could be what GOG means by saying "some people were close and others got it" but I'm leaning towards being something else and trying not to expect too much out of it.
Hype usually kills movies for me and I'm not going to let my own impossible expectations do the same to my game buying habits.
