Starlancer (never played it but always wanted to) and Mechcommander as well
THE ANTICIPATION IS KILLING ME!
how can anyone be so lame by thinking the announcement will have only 1 new game...
And website remake/no beta isnt a big deal while i play old games.
It might be a games pack. :) Just which developer?
It could be Sega as they have shown that they are happy for the emulation of their systems through Gametap.
The MASTER System could be what unexcelled refers to although that could be stretching things a little.....

Hmmm... what could it be...
Lucas Arts have their games on Direct2Drive, while their customers are crying for the games on GOG. http://lucasartsworkshop.wordpress.com/about/
The space theme hint could perhaps be refering to The Dig? They have already tested the water by releasing the games on D2D, so maybe they figured its time submit to the customers demand.
Firaxis / 2K Games released Civilization 4 The Complete Edition without DRM protection, and they previously released Civilization Chronicles with the Civilization 1 - 4. Seemes like they have the rights to sell their old games, so maybe? We have the Space Race in Civilization, and the Alpha Centaury game which could correspond to the hint on the main page. And lets face it, Civilization is perfection!
The old Sierra games got re-released, so maybe its the Space Quest series?
At some point, I think Lucas Arts, Firaxis / 2K Games (old Microprose games) and Sierra games will be found on GOG. But for now, my guess is on Firaxis as I dont think they have such a rigid view on DRM.

It would also be relying on the 80s definition of 'top three publishers'. It would be cool to see emulated Sega games here though.

good one :-D
..The funniest thing is that we didn't plan so deep in details to make it such a mind blowing mystery. Maybe next time we should really design adventure like quests and puzzles;-) That would be fun!:-) ..yeah we definitely should do it:-) and give some prizes for those who discover the truth.. next time;-)

Publisher, not developer.

Redmond (USA).
As was leaked on Sunday, the Online game publisher gog.com has acquired the software giant Microsoft. An anonymous Microsoft spokesman says that after the failure of the "Games for Windows" project not enough money could be generated to make up for the high costs of project NATAL.
Microsoft refused the message. The deal is completely made up and has no real base, says Bill Speck, a Microsoft employee.
In the meantime, Microsoft says it will stay unexcelled as a software developer for years.

I don't see the number 23 in any of these solutions, so you must all be wrong.

Wishbone: That sounds an awful lot like a Lister quote from the Red Dwarf episode Polymorph ;-)

You win one internet for getting that.

Deca, as in "10"... So - the answer is: "NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM".
If I spell out GOG on my Ouiji board, I am answered with EA, before the spirit tracks me down and throws me about my room for a bit.

Yeah, pfft! Who would think that developers would have any rights?
