Miaghstir: Neither is "unexcelled". You can have two runners doing a 100-metre lapse, the first one clocks in at 18 seconds, the other at 25. Both are far from perfect (in fact, they're both probably cripples), but the first one is still unexcelled because the second didn't surpass his speed.

when you log in your personal settings come into effect, in this case your 'posts per page' selection

Hints about Silent, History could perhaps lead to Silent Service and CIvilization series.
Microprose was my favourite company when it was still alive, so, who knows.

OK I've counted the number of stars in the picture and there is exactly 4531. If you magnify the image by 1000% you can see the tiny 1 pixel sized stars.
Now if we use a rolling alphabet to assign the numbers to a letter we end up with something very intresting.

Now looking back on the hints, Ralaack was right about one thing. The stars were added. It MAY mean Dues Ex but I highly doubt that that is the BIGGEST news in GoG history unless their all huge Dues Ex fans.

I'm certain based on the clues that it's Halo. The countdown is positioned to be replaced with the letters H, A, L and O. The words unexcelled can easily refer to something from Microsoft other than Excel and the graphic would work perfectly for Halo as well. In addition, it meets the criteria for a game that was previously mentioned.
While Halo might not be the most exciting game, if Microsoft is now supporting GOG.com it would be a huge coup, as it would be an amazing signal to other publishers than the GOG.com method should be supported.
Also, Microsoft is a top 3 video game publisher by revenue: [url=]http://kotaku.com/5030320/here-are-the-top-20-publishers-in-the-business-ranked-according-to-cash-money-intake[/url]. Not sure if that's accurate for PC games, but I'm certain that would still hold for gaming revenue.

That's unlikely. MS has its own DD store now (GFWL), which is horribly overpriced compared to other DD store and also has one of the most annoying DRM system. So it's improbable that suddenly they go $9.99 and DRM-free for their most iconic franchise.
