JESUS CHRIST IT'S LESS THAN TWO HOURS HOLY SHIIII~~
I've really enjoyed all the speculation about this announcement, it was far more enjoyable than just waiting for the clock to count down! I'm so excited! :))))) YAY!!!!!!
Hi! I'm following this thread for a couple of days now (more or less careful reading it). I did not plan to take a guess... but well, curiosity is forcing me :)
I think it will be the announcement of three publishers. This idea came to my mind through the troika-discussion, because troika can also have dthe meaning of "three" (three horses in the russian meaning, I think). And I hope (dream) EA or Eidos will be involved...
So, only two hours lasting...
Two part interwiev with Marcin Iwiński; a lot of info about the deal with Activision and some clues about what may happen in the coming months. There is an English translation on the right:

It's Acitivision. It was already revealed on one of polish websites. If it's true the first one will be arcanum and gabriel knight.

RolodeX: On a related note, wikipedia lists Ultima II and another one (spinoff, I guess) as Sierra property. Can anyone confirm this?

I've checked the Ultima series page a few days ago.
Ultima 1 for Atari 8-bit was published by Sierra.
Ultima 2 was published by Sierra.
Sierra also developed and published an unauthorized Ultima game.
From wikipedia:
Not liking how games were sold in zip lock bags with a few pages printed out for instructions, Richard Garriott insisted Ultima II be sold in a box, with a cloth map, and a manual.[1][2] Sierra was the only company at that time willing to agree to this, and thus he signed with them.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultima_(series)
So far everything points to Activision.
A suprise announcement could be that Blizzard is also involved.
I'm hoping they'll fill the list of Upcoming games rightaway so we know what to expect.
Maybe I'm a bit late, but I think this (http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/activision_busts_loose_on_gog/_/last) has definately something to do with all this announcement affaire :-O

Great! I'm looking forward to Wakeboarding Unleashed, all Tony Hawk games, the Zorks, A Mind Forever Voyaging, Leather Goddesses of Phobos, many more great text adventures, just to name a few. Oh, and please do us a favor: Don't bring "Barbie as the Island Princess" to GOG! Instead, we gladly take the Vampire games.

Protoss: Leather Goddesses of Phobos

Someone else that knows Leather Goddesses of Phobos...those games NEED to be released here. :) Been dying to play them.

Ummm... Wow.
Let's see... "Activision-month", during which we'll get lots of A's games...
"For now, I cannot disclose which major players will appear on GOG soon, since negotiations are underway, but we plan to bring you a plethora of older hits." - sounds nice, doesn't it ?

Great stuff, thanks.
The news about the upcoming events are great. So were the ever so subtle pokes at steam, eh, eh.
"In March, we plan to announce another big publisher thanks to whom GOG will get HUUUGE hits. By the way, it's not the only surprise we have planned for March. ;)". - sounds even better... And that still just the first page.

Quote from the 1st link:
In March, we plan to announce another big publisher thanks to whom GOG will get HUUUGE hits. By the way, it's not the only surprise we have planned for March. ;)

From the 2nd link:
For now there haven't been many changes to the website, but we're gathering all opinions and have something great ready for the end of March.

Please let it be EA.
2 months, that's a long timer.
Luckily we'll get Activision month to kill the time.
Edit: damn quoting bugs.

Well, I don't know if someone already linked it (too lazy to search), but it seems it really is Activision:
