Shalgroth: Given the official hints, I was actually thinking along the lines of whatsitcalled...
*looks it up*
Call of Juarez, the first one.
Although, I don't think it has anything to do with present time (obviously, being a wild west shooter - but are there any flashbacks? Err.. Flashforwards?)

Actually, you just might be on to something! Except that the only other shooter that came even close to that (according to many in the gaming media) was Outlaws on PC from LucasArts.

On the bright side, it may make them realize their good games have real merit, and they shouldn't discard and milk everything at every opportunity.

Oh f*** you two.... you guys know that there's more to the countdown than 'just' a new publisher and two new games, don't you? >:(

Well, I don't want everybody to start getting their hopes up, so I'll say now, no.
But there is a lot to look forward to this year, how about that? :)

cogadh: So, now that we know that it really is Activision, does this change anyone's opinions of Bobby Kotick? Or better yet, anyone regret any of the negative things we have said about him?

Why would it? It's not like they can lose money digitally distributing these older games -- it's pretty much a no brainer. He still typifies pretty much everything wrong with the gaming industry.
OK, announcement in 3- hours.
What if it's Activision AND compatibility for Apple? If you recall, there was that picture with PhotoShop open, with a "welcome" GOG-flash in the background and one of the Simon the Sorcerer games' game card with an Apple Tablet logo. I suppose someone was designing new page graphics... One for the arrival of Activision, and one for a game with tablet support from then on.
I'm thinkin' Mac support well before iPad support, really.

Don't you see what success could encourage? Arcanum Hero, a 3rd person parkour action adventure magic technology rhythm based shooter mishmash featuring a wisecracking clockwork cyberpunk monkey robot and re-released every 6 months with a new spell and overcomplicated-and-only-useful-once gun that can only be controlled with some seperately sold expensive overcomplicated-and-only-useful-once controller
